Yeah... I was out preforming USMC marksmen with the MEC rifleman kit today on Al Kufrah. The G3 is wicked, all I did was went up into a drilling tower by oil depot, threw down an ammo bag, and sniped. Went 18-1, the one being when I came out of the tower to give ammo I got TK'd by a jumpy individual in a Voldnik gunner position.

Still, I was spotted a few times and m16 fire would ping around me, but I just kept cool and in 1 or 2 shots in semi-auto I could take them down. I think I got hit once and a bandage took care of that. For a weapon known for being accurate, they sure couldn't hit me! The M14 gave me a scare though, but he missed and I didn't (I must of landed a headshot or he was wound 'cause it only took 1 shot.)

G3 > All other standard rifles.

The G3 is indeed deadly...the M16 accuracy will increase soon but that doesn't negate the fact that IRL the G3's recoil is 4x the amount of the M16...this should be effectively modeled. If there is one thing PR strives for, its to make the small arms as realistic as possible...I hope this isn't overlooked.

Cool to see Dev's in the forums...I spent some time in the novalogic forums waaay back when....sheesh what a nightmare. We are spoiled here in PR, the dev's are actually around, helping out and hear us out. Always a pleasure, thanks Jaymz

believe me, I'm just as sick of johnny auto G3 as you are and the M16 burst is currently useless. Doing what I can to pull the right strings to get it fixed alongside the tone of sound work I've set out for myself for 0.7.

Well at least i see now that something is being done to fix the recoil. I guess all that is left to be done is to wait and see how it goes.
