I like the idea, and I agree it should be spawned only at the main base. In reality, all vehicles would be dropped off by a plane or ship at a military installation. Maybe you could make it like a rally point, but you also have to be x meters from the main flag?

Only adition to this is that such vheicle (hummer preferably) can be requested only at main base and within every 5 minutes...
At a friendly CP is better, makes no sense at main, where you have all the vehicles at your disposal...

Agreed, friendly CP (the same rules that apply to requesting a CO truck) would be good enough. Should have a strict time limit, meaning the vehicles should have a 5 to 10 minute period before the SL can deploy any again.
Maybe to further increase teamwork, spawning a new squad vehicle may need to rely on a command post being deployed by the commander. This way the use of this feature relies heavily on having a good CO present.
Here's another idea. How about using some of the "3 seater" vehicles for the squad car (or in this case, cars). By that I mean the DPVs, FAVs (MEC & PLA) and the British Land Rover. The reason I suggest this is that it would make it easier to distinguish what's a squad vehicle, and what's a normal jeep (although this may require that the Land Rovers and such be removed from the regular spawns on some maps). Not only that, but alot of times I've been in squads where the the SL split us between two "fireteams". The idea of two squad vehicles (3 seats each) fits perfectly into that concept. And of course there are times when you just don't want or need the whole squad in one vehicle.
Just some ideas I'm throwing out.

Initially I didn't like the idea because it would increase the junk yard effect on maps. However, if you took out all of the Light Transport vehicles(except the little fun ones, ATV/dirt bikes etc.) from all of the maps, so only the SL spawned vehicles were available, you've solved the junkyard problem.
I would assume the vehicle would have to be large enough to transport an entire squad, depending on what faction you are playing.
I like it.
The specifics as to A. How many squad members would need to be near the SL; B. Whether the squad was "in supply/near a friendly CP" or not; and finally C. how many tickets a fastropez chopper would cost would all be determined through testing.

Officier vehicle request can help a lot.
Yet it would be sad for assets to be squad locked. A squad could have died or moved on for whatever reason and the abandoned jeep can't be used by others in your team.
But walking to battle is an unrealistic aspect that pops up time to time in gameplay.
fuzzhead mentioned something about bunker/firebase spawning jeeps frequently.

Sorry i meant (but forgett to emphasize) that in this case at main only spawns heavy assets (tanks, apcs, planes etc) and light vheicles become squad assets, wich are not set on map by mapper at all, but are only called in by SL requests.

I really like this idea and i think its a good thing making the light vehicles more squadbound so that squads dont abandon their vehicles to the left and right. This way when you dont have a car its most likely your own fault.
