No just the Most basic weapons issued to german soldiers. Aka MP40, Kar89k, Gewehr 43. None of that heavy infantry shit.

Also they have been found with SVT-40's, PPS42/3(Whatever you call it) SMLE's, And albeit rare Thompson Submachine guns. But they dont need to be included as the current weapons we have are good enough.

They should be included for variety .

I like your idea about WWII SMG for ambusher . The only thing we need is working unlocks , so player will be able to choose between S12 & MP-38\40 . Personally I think that insurgent squad leader should have either an SLR - SVT-40 , G43 , L1A1 or a battle rifle - G3 , FN FAL - just like in Insurgency mod for HL:2

Unlocks are vital for both most underpowered and underrated ( speaking of small arms ) factions in the game - USMC & Insurgents

Well I think unlocks would work if the server files defaulted all servers to global unlocking, like in unranked vBF2 servers.

Longbow, thanks for the list of weapons.

Would anyone be for getting the G3 back for the war vet? (War vet in this case would be a SQUAD LEADER KIT) Or maybe FAL if someone would model/skin it?

I remember someone posted , in my thread about unlocks , that theres already very nice FAL Carbine model made by someone from BSS

Unlocks no.

I just want the Insurgents to fulfill roles needed by the team.

1. Doctor to heal

2. Rioter to annoy the enemy

3. Long range G3 rifle for Long range combat,

4. Ambusher to be more stealthy and be able to repair the technical without punishment when riding in it.

5. Civilian able to build and rebuild houses and defenses.

6. Insurgent needs to have more appeal.

7. Pick up kits need to be made more balanced and made harder to get so noone runs off with them.

And finally i just want the Insurgents to have the edge that they did in .5, I won so many rounds as insurgent back then. I know the gameplay mechanics are different this time around but i think it would work.

*Update*

I was playing basrah again today and a few of my teammates gave me a couple of Ideas.

1. A pistol for the Mosin sniper.(1+2 like the RPG)

2. Reward for picking up enemy kits.

3. Less punishment for suiciding.

1. usually when someone picks up a sniper kit they keep a fair distance away from their target... if u can pick your target off with a pistol whats the point of picking up a SNIPER kit.. common sense its called being sneaky and not getting so close you need to use your pistol

3. nah then youll just have some guys suiciding just so their attacker doesnt get the kill they deserve (happened to me all the time in vanilla lol)

Like what kind of reward? If an Insurgent kit is looted (picked up) by a British soldier, British team get 2 intelligence points (Once per 60s per player).

3. Less punishment for suiciding.
That would be exploited, I'm afraid... For example, a squad leader is back at enemy's last flag and he wants some guys with him to set a rally point. He would tell the other squad members to suicide and spawn on him.

I mean the Kit of insurgent since noone wants to play it. Maybe more Mags? Or Longer sprint?

People get pick up kits and run off suck! They take it away from the team and make it harder for us to combat enemies. Some sort of punishment needs to be in place for people who waste kits(By waste i mean either do stupid shit like rpg an enemy at point blank, Shoot the apc with pkm, And of all think they rambo and waste the grail on ground vehicles) Maybe if you have a pick up kit you have to stay close to a squadmember? Or bigger spawntime if you die to soon with it?(30 seconds you have to stay alive thats usually enough for me to do what i gotta do when i have RPG or Grail)

2. I know but i was on top of a small roof 1 dropped on top of me from heli and killed me because my mosin was too slow(Got him once in the leg)

3. I meant when in cars team jihading. I had this one guy drive while i planted c4 on technical and he got close to apc i blew the charges giving me a teamkill but killing 3 in apc.

EDIT: Maybe give the RPG and PKM gunners a proximity punish? SVD, Mosin, And Grail abuse is not that bad as compared to the other two. Maybe for the first minute you have either of those 2 kits you cant be farther then 50m from a squadmate?

Suicide as a civilian should have a very harsh penalty again because their purpose is being twisted

Nah Civ Majority squads almost never work, And most squads have at max 2 civies to be effective, A 2 per squad limit would be good but there would be no way to implement it.

True the max spawntime in my opinion or -50 points

2. 1 guy in my squad suggested it i kinda liked it but your right it is kinda stupid.

They could implement it as a restricted kit. Squads of civilians is a problem on desert storm and possibly the other maps.
Allowing such a large penalty for the other side spawn into place possibly all at once is unrealistic and unbalancing, its a bit like a squad of 5 AT spawning next to a tank like has been stopped in 0.6

I think they are fine as they are, you don't have a disadvantage if you take the enemy in the city because they'll be close enough to use the ironsights, there are loads of RPGs to take out the APCs, and you have the AK!

And city combat is only about 30% of round time...

Now just pack it all into 1 insurgent kit and make it random rifle that comes out when you spawn. :P
