You mean insurgents launching offensives against forces that are assaulting them?

Though I must admit, not having an aircraft obliterating everything in its sights is nice.

IMO one Apache would balance the battle a bit. As for now it doesn't seem that Brits are able to find 9 caches in 1 round.

It's possible, trust me, as long as your team and squad have microphones then it's easy as hell finding the caches. I have seen the British win on that map, I don't think I've seen insurgents win that map yet.

I've seen both sides win. I've a few tricks up my sleeve for winning as UK though.

The map seems pretty balanced at the moment... any round is up for grabs. The Brits I've gone up against have been highly capable of collecting intel and destroying caches.

I have won in the Betas as Brits but not now.

"Guys lets go over hear and look for..... NO!!! stop killing the Civillians....." "Yes you can use the knife to arrest, wait stop come back!.... don't chase the civy around the corner..."

"Well you see we get intel points for... uhm everyone just left the squad??"

That is how it plays now

The problem with the Apache is going to be the insta kill every destructable building possible. I fear the pilots just laying waist to every building in sight and every civy inside it.

And just to point out the Apache is in the dome at the mosque, it has been captured by the insurgents. You need to go to mosque, use the retnal scanner which opens the dome, punch in the launch code which raises the apache (lots of cool smoke effecst and beeping) and then use your grappel hook to get to the roof, but since your an engineer (grapple hook) you can only sit and look at it the Apache while the QM laughs at you.

I wonder if grenades can not be counted as "killing" a civilian..

by Outlawz7
Umm, they die, so they got killed? Unless frag grenades cause heart attacks of some sort?

Well if you had one land right next to you, you'd be scared shitless too... but having a heart attack? No idea...

I mean so that they count as "knife" type kills -- that is, it does not count against you.

But then that would get abused.

Damn, I may never use grenades on Basrah again :<

Throwing you into fear and doubt of court martial reprisals is the purpose of the Civilian.

I can imagine it now...

Officer - So soldier is it all clear on your end?
Soldier - Yes sir, all clear in this zone... Oh wait what's that?
Officer - Report your status soldier!
Soldier - Sir, there is something out in the city...
Officer - Oh my god...
Soldier - Civilians! We are all going to die! RUN!
Officer - Report soldier! Report!
Soldier - They are swarming us! There are so many! To many green shirts and Red Nikes!
*Radio Fizzles out to static*
Officer - Soldier! Soldier? Squad to base, we have lost another one to the Green Clad Terrors...

As was said in the 2nd post of the thread... it's a bug - it should be there. Meaning that it should be back in the next version.

Haven't played in a while, but I'm sure the SA-7 is still ingame(?).

Yup. The SA7 Grail AA is still around as a pickup kit. The apache got through closed and open beta testing without complaints of inbalance... that's what the testing is there for ;)

Only one, and TBH it's not really enough.
