The M82 can take down light armoured vehicles like technicals with a few shots. They can also destroy Humvees IIRC.

Yeah, by shooting the gas tank or some important part of the vehicle, which they can't in PR, cos BF2 engine doesnt have an option for specific part damage...whatever its called

IRL, they're "anti-material" because it can put holes through your engine, which cars do not like.

No, I mean if you just fire a few shots in PR at the vehicle it destroys it, I was playing with the M82 on Proving Grounds.


Just tested it on SP, took almost all of the M82s rounds to blow up a technical.
Maybe the M95 is more powerful.

i believe someone told me back during beta testing that there are 2 sniper rifles hiding around in every map,but then again i never look for it, cuz if you get it your bound to get Tked

ihad the m95 on qwai river and I shot a little bird from the bottom (he was above me) and the little bied instantly started spewing dark smoke!

Back in 92 during Somolia USMC Sniper Jack Coughlin was able to take out 2 ZSU-23/4's and a T-52 by shooting THROUGH the armor and killing the crew inside and disabling the weapon systems with a M82 in the span of a few minutes. Yes, the M82 will disable almost any vehicle less armored than a modern MBT.

Not that I know of in 0.6. One in .5 at the bldg that looks like the one near the MEC side of the bridge on Karkand in the Airport (US main) (the one in Karkand with an MG in it, if you're looking from the MEC [gatehouse/factory/etc...] side it's on your left).
