I have seen several passworded servers with different spawn times (not really mods) and one of the developers said they would be willing to allow a public server with different server settings if somebody mature asked. (might have been wrong, still trying to dig up the quote)

Our current policy is no public modded servers, period. If the server is passworded you can modify times, etc.

Again I can understand why the developers would want most servers running the standard mod but rules that would prevent a mature group from running a server with reduced spawn times simply sucks. Some people including myself (who are not noobs or anything like that) would enjoy those sort of servers
What about disabling the "bonus" spawn time for dying nonsense?

if you want to change respaw times, you need to make your server private

Why can't you have them put MODDED in their server name or something. It just seems like the current solution is worse than the problem.

Go any further off-topic and you'll earn yourself a ban. This thread is not about modded servers. Thats been discussed to death, and the Dev team's decision is not up for discussion.

So you would threaten me with a ban for going "off topic" rather than close this topic after the original poster's question has already been answered?
Hell why bother having the forums if nobody is going to ask questions?

Why should I punish the OP just because you went off-topic?
People usually complain when we lock a ton of threads, its not a policy to close every thread that reaches a conclusion.
I threatened to ban you beacause the questions you keep asking don't belong in this thread, and as I said, have been discussed so much its no longer an issue. No one wants to hear the same discussion 1000x, and you've added nothing new.

Well if you guys are shutting out any opposition to this nonsense at the moment I won't continue. However I maintain my opinion and hope you change the system at some point for reasons I won't discuss further.

Theres a difference between shutting out opposition and not wanting to hear about it in a totally unrelated thread.

Question more or less answered. Everything else is off-topic. Before this goes on any more...
