Yes, America was a country back then. 1776 was when we declared independence, 1783 was when we were recognised as a country, and The War of 1812 was when the British launched an invasion of the newly found country in the year of... 1812...

I think the only Logical Battlefield on U.S Soil would be Western Alaska/Western Coast.

We where also invaded during WW2 -- but not on the mainland. They took several island territories and for a short while Japan was in Alaska.

it seems when ever someone mentions US getting invade on a western forum ppl will utterly deny any possibility of such event occuring, but when someone mentions US invading another country, everyone full heartedly believes the event is absolutely possible as if it is inevitable.

Nah uh. It would be the Confederate flag, because we all know it would be the hicks who came out w/ their shotguns first. At the very least the pickups would need a Confederate flag sprayed into the bed/back of the driver area

Anyway, I think it would be a fun change of scenery to fight on US soil against an invading army. Especially with store bought equipment!

The idea of the defense of the United States does actually seem
somewhat unlikely in this day and age. Things like surgical strikes and
such might happen in the form of terrorist attacks, but I think we would
be able to stop an invading army pretty well.

Of course, I could always be wrong...

tbh if China and America are at war whats stopping them invading America, or attacking US soil with say bombers? you have to remember China is a Very, very, very large and powerful country, also it may have support from other countries, MEC?

Well from what I've read about their navy, they're not going to be able to land alot of troops with their aging troop transports.
