If so, then I support. If it doesn't, the why make it?
Does the Middle East have MEC? Not really... but on the Borderline. I say Chinese Rebels are a fair bet. Rebellion is possible for almost any nation. Whether they would be crushed easily is another thing.

I would think open rebellion is a pretty unlikely idea in China considering how the PRC treats political dissidents (I would NOT be throwing rocks at a PLA soldier if there were no cameras around). They have the largest military in the world (in terms of warm bodies) and have very extensive border patrol and military policing as it is. I think a state-supported militia is the only thing that makes sense.

I'm thinking I'm going to pospone this project to a later date; I'm messing with source stuff now and found it very interesting.

MEC Forces have already been delivered with vBF2 so it was much easier to DEV's to just implement them in PR instead of making a whole new faction while if we try to make chinese rebels, there would be a little more work envolved. Also, many people just complain about the MEC itself for it doesn't exists and it's a bit unrealistic. So why force the borders to unrealism and make another faction that doesn't exists?
Unnecessary work.

I voted rebels. I think the NK faction idea is great, but it would have to be a whole other community project, because there would probably have to be a SK faction as well.

Who said anything about the DEVs doing it????

You 3 do realize that this is a 1 year old thread?

Also I'd have none, Chinese rebels/militia just doesn't sound right.

Voted Rebels. What about a Rebel uprising in Tibet?

nah. the chinese (i think) has pretty much control in there, as well as their spiritual leader (dalai lama) is a non-violent dude, who speaks of the tibetans to not use force against the chinese.

they were present in the beijing olympic ceremony, and i think just that shows that they're included.

and i think the reason for the chinese to hold tibet at any cost whatsoever is an important aspect of chinese philosphy, as the middle empire(china) had to be whole or else their gods would turn against them or something.

and the tibetans are quite (not oppressed) but "strangled". so a rebel wouldnt work.
but i think a (non-state-supported) is a great idea, but who said it had to be chinese...

how bout someone from laos, cambodia, or vietnam. anybody from that region whould be great adversaries for chinese and aussies (maybe they'll team up against a militia full of fight....)

GO MILITIA!

Answer is neither; don't have the motivation to bother with this.

Rebels for the one reason that I want to see the Chinese fight someone else than the Western armies for once. Maps featuring fighting that doesn't involve US, UK or other Western countries is needed.

And making the rebels tibetian is not a good idea. I'm quite sure someone mentioned that there is a risk that PR will be censored in the PRC in that case...

Then you better reconzider. The Chinese militia/paramilitary force consists of nearly 4 million troops.
