Anyways, good luck with your modeling!

Hey man, if you're really interested in modeling guns, you should definitely check out this site:

http://www.imagestation.com/members/DeicideNBF

It's got hundreds (thousands?) of reference pictures for a bunch of different guns!

"All the pictures here are dedicated to help video game artists in their work. And of course, show hi-res pics of various firearms for those who like firearms as me for FREE!"

Hope this helps, and good luck in your learning to model!

NEW REPLY TO AN OLD THREAD

My first model
I have often been asked how and when I started modeling, so I found this thread with my very first model.

My first model was made around: 08-19-2007

Thanks guys!
It was quite fun to watch again, and cool to see how helpful you guys were back then. Without support I probably wouldnt have stayed on course and gained vital experince. Like if I have gotten a rought rap from some more experinced people - and that is why I often try to help out people who are just staring up.

I've learned so much from the community and what really boosted my experince was when ZZEZ, that brave fool ( ;) ), hired me to do the Negev for the IDF faction. At that point in time I had not yet completed a single model, and the Negev was the 4th .max file I ever opened.

Other than that KP and FIST have given me vital advice along the way (especially when modeling for games where there are restrictions).
Vaiski have help out a great deal to with various tips and tricks.

My favorite hobby now
Indeed. And I've become quite addictive to it, it really speaks to my creative and constructive genes. I have always loved creating stuff.

I don't quite know the point of this reply, but I thought it was fun to see the development over the cource of time.

:) you have certainly advanced at modeling. It hasnt been long, just imagine that everything you do gets a little better each time... Its quite intresting too, I have since looked back at my earlier progress, and its quite surprising.
