I only ever annouce i've killed someone when defending a particular area. I'll just go:
"Hostile Down, West", just to alert the rest of my squad to the fact there's probably incoming. But as it stands, I don't think the sound is necessary. You pretty much know when you've dropped someone.

Not really, when you are shooting at someone fairly far away behind cover, the fact you see blood splattering over the wall behind him doesnt mean you actually hit him, and maybe he just went prone to toss a grenade at your sorry (notsovictorious) ***. Happened a few times...

In that case, it wouldn't be really realistic to know whether you killed him or not right?

What are you on about?
I think you're confusing it with "emurshon".
Anyway, if this were to be implemented, people would whine on the forums again, because they can't work "covert" because everytime they kill someone they scream
"tango down" or
"hoowee, I got one!".

What are you doing giving dev-type answers? Calm down eh? I think it would be realistic from a shooter's perspective. Possibly triggered only when the enemy is killed. Problem is that its just as the server messages. It lets you know if you killed someone or not based on the fact that you hear the message, etc... which tends to be exploited, hence the reason why it was removed. This is the reason why it may end up not being implemented, although its a nice suggestion btw.

I'm sure this has already come up in this topic thou I aint going to read 3 pages to confirm that.
there is something called "VOIP" where you can say w/e you like over it and can also say "enemy down" or w/e you like when you kill a enemy to confirm its kill.
where as for the comm rose sound, first we would need to pre-record a min of 24 diffrent sounds:
6 diffrent US sounds
6 diffrent UK sounds
6 diffrent Arabic sounds
and 6 diffrent Chinese sounds.
bare in mind we need 3 diffrent voices for each so we would need 12 diffrent sound actors (3 of which would need to speak Arabic, and another 3 would need to speak Chinese) and then we would need to filter thous sounds etc.
Then you also need to bare in mind that we also will need to add a little HUD button to the commrose, which we have no room for btw to add the guy saying it.
Overall as you can see, its HELL of alot of work for very little back, where we can just have every one buy a mic, which every one really needs anyway to play PR and you are all sorted

OP: It's not hard to implement at all, just hit K and type "kill confirmed". Of course you could be wrong.
