Doesn't the "bail out" command work?

You spam that and the driver thinks you want to steal his APC. In actuality, you are telling him to stop. You just get ignored.

Have to agree that this is a good idea. Nothing as bad as having the only spot left in an APC as the gunner seat and spawning in as a rifleman while the APC is hammering down the road at full tilt for 20 seconds.

Stay where you are and you're dead. Jump out and you're dead. Only saviour is if the driver's in your squad and you can talk to him over VOIP. Even then you only hope they speak English.

The bell/buzzer option seems to be the best option for ease of implimentation.

maybe instead of someone just saying stop, it can be mchammer saying "stop... hammer time" and play a clip of the song.

;-)
This gets my vote

Not every driver knows (80% - 90% do) what does it mean. A new special Bell sound could be usefull.

Since it's entirely unrealistic yet necessary I vote for a sample of an old- London double decker bus bell!

I normally don't give suggestion because I generally think "hey, if they design it... they did it for a reason.". But this has been bugging me ever since the "Jump out of a moving vehicle damage" started.

a "STOP" command in the "Q" menu.

When you enter a vehicle your "Need Medic" command turns into a "Need repairs command", so I was wondering if you could change the "Follow Me" or the "Need Backup" command into a "Stop" command.

I think this wold help the driver because sometimes "Negative, No, No, No, Negative" being spammed over and over doesn't seem to get the point of "Stop" across.

Just a suggestion!
That is a very good idea I think the game could really benifit from it too
when spawning on an apc its very annoying to have to type " STOP THE APC" ten times before the driver sees it and realizes its him they're talking to.

Love the Bell-idea! A real problem.
"Bail out" only works as Allied, even if you spam it till your blocked.

I had this sudden urge to type "Hammer Time!" after reading the name of the thread.

The bell idea sounds excellent and i hope something like that can be implemented, as someone who drives alot in the game i find it difficult to keep an eye on the road and read the chat box to see if anyone is going "OMFG, DRIVAR, LET US OUTZ!"

this needs a little bump.

TOO many time have I run into a situation where I have needed this.
plus, it is completely realistic. its unreal NOT to have it.

I am getting sick of it.

i imagine it wouldn't be that hard to stick in .7

Usually, when you use "jump out" option from "Q" menu couple times, the driver/pilot will give you a chance to jump out. It works in most cases.

Good revival.
Spamming Bail Out! and No Way! may work most of the times, but as been said, not when you really need it (full car moving towards tank's turret).

Bail out seems to becoming commonly understood, the only problem is when the apc drives away without letting you get your officer kit, or rushes off to fight the enemy apc without letting you get a LAT to help out.
