I dont think that this reflects reality, an officer needs training "which is why the officer kit needs to be requested" if you shoot a squad leader grab his kit and are then automatically granted the ability to create rally points it does not reflect reality.
In reality you could kill a commander grab his kit , but you would not have his knowledge "training of where best to place RP etc"
Also a tank driver in the British Army could not jump into an American tank and drive it without a bit of training, or any other tank for that matter. Yes you would know how to drive its getting the thing started that is the problem. Same goes for gunnery and flying.

I think he meant you still have to be SL to create a RP.
Otherwise it'd be silly

He means, if you are a SL of a squad, but you don't have an officer kit (for some odd reason) and you managed to find and pick up an enemy officer kit, you can create a rally point with it.
Edited: oooh, too late!

Of course, you still need to be the SL of a 4 man squad to set it. It's just the kit that can be from either faction.

If you consider that to operate these vehicles you need special equipment, I wont do that change. It almost never happens. If you have a chopper, just go at it and request the kit.
I find it a bit silly, that if you found an enemy pilot kit, picked up his pistol and helmet, you cant fly your own air assets with it.
Maybe the oxygen masks doesnt fit or something?
Just joking. But I rather see, if the kit requesting on uneven ground can be fixed, sometimes, if you want to request a kit from back of the APC sitting in a ditch, it tells you to get to the designated supply zone.

Or if you simply want to trade in your m16, and do a little guerilla warfare.

Or wrong set of keys? Easy to hotwire a chopper?

Was playing bashra as insurgent once, and noticed that 1 fella had HUGE amount of team play points and score with 0 kills and 0 deaths. At first i was like.. how?
Pretty simple actually. It was 1 squads SL flying chopper, dropping hes squad where ever he wanted.
