You guys should really work with the well known garrys mod machima makers. At litfusefilmes.com They can help so much. If you need seens where people are talking you could get them the models to put into garrys mod and they can make talking scenes really really good.

Promotional Movies should focus on showing off new content and gameplay dynamics instead of crafting a really in-depth story.

Besides, voice acting would probably ruin the movie. It just wouldn't sound professional.
Lowe, the PR Movie Sound guy put up a great low quality sample of what he can do and i was very impressed. i think, in the end, it will rely on scripting to see how the dialogs comes out...

But yeah, I could totally see it coming out awful. A ton of 11 year olds talking about guns and warfare WOULD be hilarious though...

The people I'm talking about arent 11 year olds. These people are adults.. And they made amazing machima. The voice acting is amazing. Go on youtube and type in War of The Servers. Amazing movie.

They look pretty cool yeah, but it's not done with PR..... and we're talking about making movies with PR.

It's much harder to find battle-hardened sounding soldiers than it is to pick some guy off of the street and get him to speak into a microphone, not really caring what he sounds like.

Just forget the voice acting - it would ruin immersion. It just isn't needed. A promotional movie doesn't need to focus on telling a story, and a story can be told without words.

Look at this. This was done by one of our PR guys several months ago. He's gone AWOL, so I'm not sure of the current status of the movie, but it looks fantastic.
pfff , two specops blowing an technical and the gunner cant see them?

yeah, fantastic

so THIS is the reason why everyone is always running around as Spec Ops!! Bad video, bad bad bad! :) I'm gonna make a video response to this and just show:

spec ops dying in one shot from lack of body armor
their squad members asking for assistance/ammo, but they only have slams :(
the crappy m4 at distant engagement, which makes up much of PR now
and... idk, various other things to drive home that it need not be overused... :)

:) i really do love that video though, that above stuff was tongue in cheek...

*hand up* photoshop guru signing in. what exactly do you want shopped?

i always wanted to make a bf2 movie out of this song (ego if it doesn't load up on it)

starts of with mec troops hanging out... then maybe an arty strike when the heavy stuff comes in (or little bird rockets in the case of pr)... heli flight for the quiet bits, fighting for the verse, would be easy to sync apc / mg fire to the bass drum... i was thinking kubra dam for it but maybe whatever the pr equivalent is (jabal al bur? sorry, suck at map names). eh, one day i'll find the time, energy and people to do it :p
