Day of Defeat had this too, way back in 2003 or so. So they beat us by 50 years!

AA always had field dressings, except they were carried by the medics, and were to be applied to others in an event of injury. You never saw the actual dressings in game, though, but that's what they were called in game. You also got to see field dressings in the medic classes, real ones, in photos, if I recall correctly. They are there to stop the bleeding, and not to restore health.

About AA stealing from PR; great minds think alike.
Actually what's gonna piss me off is when people blame Quake Wars for coping BF2 for stealing the defibulator idea when it was QW that originally came up with the idea. Hell that's one reason BF2 came out in more or less beta , they wanted to beat QW to release.
Wasn't RtCW the first game with a reviving tool?

This was also incorporated in Infiltration (a reality mod for UT99 in about 2002 or 2003)

i used to play AA and i enjoyed it very much at the time.
When they introduced the spec op version it was a nice training part where you had to pass alot of tests such as identifying friendly and enemy vehicles and answer questions about how many rotors different helicopters had, number of of wheels on tanks and the look of the tanks main gun barrels.
The last part to qualify was an evade and escape drill which was real cool, you where dropped of by a helo and had to sneak, crawl and keep in the shadows cause you needed to reach certain checkpoints before you could go to the extraction point. Equiped with binoculars only.
In the end you got the privileges to use a supressor, acog , m203 and such.
But Pr just takes it so much furter
also to become a medic training was needed. Sitting in the schoolbench reading up on how to heal wounds and RL medical things. Included in that course was applying bandages

After all the official name of QW is; Enemy Territory:Quake Wars. Same developers as Return to castle Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory (RtCW:ET) so they did come up with the concept way before BF2.

I really need to go download AA again, fun times on that javelin map. You have to wait like 10 minutes every time you die so thats enough to keep me from running in the open. From what I remember the AI is generally smart also. I just hate doing the effing training

that would be great to add a training part to pr like aa, would solve a lot of problems or a multi choice test before you can play the game

Yeah it is pretty fun thats the only way i play AA now. The next patch is coming out soon so i would wait for that. Its gonna have some real nice updates to the Humvee and CROWS system as well as the AI.
A training mission or something would be nice indeed....if its possible.
