Nope, nobody wins. The whole "we have better stuff than you" always ends in a lock

not sure about the crews,
but the challenger 2 is the best MBT out there
and the USAF still pwns all.

Eat that yank!
(no offence)
K chill we're on the same side.

. Anyways as far as record goes yes the abrams is the "best" tank in the world. But on paper and in exercises the Leopard 2 actually exceeded the abrams due to its more efficient engine which increases its range. Of course in combat the Leopard is at a disadvantage due to its much larger profile, not to mention the "chin" under its gun which does not dissipate the impact energy as well as say a Challenger 2 or Abrams.

appart from the stupid nationalism pround about tanks i think that make each tank UNIQUE will be ralistic , cool and also will add a new dimention to the battlefield .
lets see:
-m1a2: proved , has a very har armor , is fast but has a "slow" loading time , like 7-8 seconds , so in PR this tank should be the most armored and most dangerous enemy , but with a relative slow time between each shoot .
-T90: faster than the m1a2 , but lack of the good armor protection , this tank should be used as the shermans where used in FH (well, not really) , they can also fire AT-11 missils from the cannon , has a faster reload time than the m1a2 (like 5-6 sec.)because the autoloader in it , but arming the missils will take like 10 seconds .AND also has a system to confuse missils like the tow and javaline , shtora , this SHOULD be inplemented ingame (javaline is coming)
-type99: dont know about this tank , but its a t72 with more armor and tecnologys , maybe it will have the same armor than the t90 .
-challenger: is not ingame yet , but this tank should have the same armor and power as the m1a2 , but is a biggg target , and easy to beat by a AT-11 .

the things 77SiCaRiO77 suggested would be easy to put in game i could even do it, it would also be alot more fun cus you wouldnt drive 8km just to get 1 hit by a tank that should be the same as you.

I wouldnt have them as the same armor and power, chllanger is bigger and has a 12 cylinder diesel engine as apose to a gas turbine.
Also Challanger has thicker armor. And a Rifled gun which makes it extremely acurate.
Sorry if i annoyed anyonejust got carried away.
The M1A2 is a good tank but i prefer the Challanger 2 and i think its a better tank.
Though its not as fast.. dammit

Aside from the "best tank discussion" the only solution at the moment when confronting a T-90 is to engage it from a far distance. At close distances, a good Tank gunner can hit the sweet spot and cause a 1-shot kill. Long range however, they would have to be lucky to hit that spot. Gives the Americans more of a chance on the battlefield.

No. Because they inevitably get locked when people, especially ones that have never served in tanks or whatever else is being compared, fly their flags from their pricks and start to wave them. Read the forum rules.

i dont realy think russian old stuff can confuse brand new thermal missile... BTW Challenger is smaler than the Abrams, and i think abrams got automatic reloader too...

Are the weakpoints on tanks bound to the model or can they be coded?

I would like to know this too. I really dislike the fact that there are 1 shot kill spots on tanks, and what I dislike more, is that everyone knows about, and uses them.

at long range M1A2 is good i took out two mec tanks on kashan and i was hit 3 times.
mind you they were noobs, one was shooting over my head and the other had the side of his tank towards me.

Sicario, how exactly would the Shtora system work in game?
I've just read about it on Wikipedia (not a lot) and I'm just curious as to how this could be implemented.
From what I've read, it's supposed to jam range finders, target designators, an incoming missile's infrared targeting system AND find the source of the missile while calculating a firing solution. Range finders are pretty useless in tank versus tank combat and target designators aren't in the game. I'd like to know how the other two uses of Shtora be implemented.

afaik, the Russians have been using auto-loaders for years, but it has been proven that actual human loaders are better: less likely to jam and are indeed quicker
wtf

Yeah, I also heard that actual people loading rounds are faster and reliable. Plus they're an extra person in the tank incase something bad happens...
On Sicario's suggestions, would it be possible for the reload to be faster in a tank, specifically the Abrams, if the tank crew get a certain amount of teamwork points or kills or whatever combination? This would indicate a "veteran" tank crew, I guess.
