You guys smell what I'm smelling? :?

SmElls like a new FAVORITE PR map of all time; am I not correct?

The map looks geographically and graphically amazing. I've never seen a BF2 engine based map like this one. I’d love to be able to help you gather more statics, but University stuff is getting in the way of modeling like always. If I find some spare time I might be able to model you new building statics, but until then keep doing what your doing, cause things are looking remarkable so far.

Rhino, what team will be taking on Muttrah City? *Begs for British*

This map was out when I started playing PR, the little birds skimming across the water desperately trying to miss the various munitions with dead septic troops falling from them was a sight to be saw. My favorite map in the past.

Any idea of what kinds of transportation will be used to get from the carrier to the land (that is, if it's similar to the old map), as in, what kind of choppers?

I hope so, USMC vs. MEC was really fun in 0.5...
And I also hope the UH-1Y will be ready till 0.7, would be fun to land on the mosque with it :)

I cant wait... I always loved Muttrah, and was somehow disappointed that it wasn't in 0.6. But seening this, I know its well worth waiting. Just awesome!

ok going to try and awanser every ones questions now :)

The map will be a USMC vs MEC map again for the same reasons why it was in v0.3

This being that its going off the old vBF2 storyline of the invasion of the Gulf of Oman, and for thous of you who do not know Muttrah/Mutrah/Muscat is the capital city of Oman. So the MEC are in Oman and occupying the city :)
As for things in containers you will have to wait and see, they will mainly be easer egg stuff ;)

well wasn't Muttrah 1 for alot of people? ;) :p

The british in the current form wouldn't work that well on this map. Not without any amphibious vehicles nor with out a light chopper. I dont think I really have to point out that the little birds did make muttrah what it was :)

as of yet I cant say for sure what is and whats not going to be in the map. I have lots and lots of ideas wondering inside my head like lost sheep of what could and should go into the map but it all depends on what gets done, what works etc at the end of the day :)

At the moment I can not say for sure if its going to be in v0.7, I hope it is and it should be. But if it is it will have to be on the open beta to do some hard play testing on the map to get it blanced as from all of you that remember beta testing muttrah 1 in 0.25 was one hell of a job too :)

Stigger did most of the model, matt.b remodeled some bits, uv, skinned and imported it :)
My main job as far as these statics are concerned is directing what is done, finding issues, getting them fixed and saying what I like and done like, aswell as the simple task of slapping it down in the old mosques place :p :)

the wait just means you will have a bigger craving for it in v0.7 :D
