But most conventional troops wear body armor, right?

I suppose the terrorists could go down in one hit if shot in the chest ^_^

Also, go Buckeyes!

I've had a few friends take rounds offa their body armor. One of them had rounds penetrate, not sure of the calibre though. The others either had a few brusied or broken winds and/or were knocked out cold from the impact.

body armor is a ***** :)

Yeah, you're right. A direct hit to the body armor (or torso, for that matter) will render you quite ineffective for a little while. Unless you're some crazy insurgent who doesn't acknowledge pain.

OSU vs ND is gonna be a great game. We should have beat Texas, but that idiot TE can't catch. Got fingers like ice.

I think two is fairly accurate given the many different circumstances involved in determining a hit and a kill to the upper torso.

Generally two hits to the torso would kill anyone without question. With or without armor, like mentioned, we are using AP bullets afterall. IRL, the first hit would only severly wound you, the second would, without a doubt, put you in the hands of God.

A shot to the torso should slow down your speed and blur your vision for a 5-15 seconds. Next shot to chest will kill. (I'm suggesting something for Project Reality, not talking about RL)

m i rite?

you'd be suprised how many insurgent forces crawl/walk/limp away from 3 or 4 shots coming from a M4... i read about it all of the time in emails/letters from my friends. I remember once reading about it in the national news. How insurgents were getting a bit braver when engaging US forces face to face due to them learning that getting shot by the m4 or m16 won't always prove fatal, even if it's multiple times...

****ing insurgents. I say all the troops just go around carrying M240's and light those ******** up.

1 hit in chest = disabled/no more fighting. Isn't it goofy when you are standing next to an sf and you shoot him once in the chest -> he does the flinching thing for a split second and he shoots back in .1 seconds? The way to counter this realism is to add more cover to the maps (already suggested) then you will have realistic damage, but a way to counter it by using tactics.

Yes, that's the perfect solution. Thank you visaya.
