Which I agree on.

Best than jets would be to call in AI air strikes.
A single bomber just dropping its load on a selected target, or painted with LRF.

AFter the strike the COmmander has wait for another strike just as the arty.
But then again.. The arty may simulate the air strike all together... so why bother doing all the coding of an AI air strike?

Arty doesn't have the capacity to lock onto targets though (although I'm sure there's some form of fancy new technology on the horizon that will sort that out via GPS or something). Same goes for an AI air strike, wouldn't be able to relay what armour you wanted to take out and such to an AI air strike, it'd just kill the nearest targets in sight.

I agree. Artillery or AI airstrike scripts work only on a fixed target so u cant get them to target moving tanks unless they're human pilots or Bots that is.

This may sound a little narrow minded but I think any job that can be done by an A10 on Kashan can be done with an attack helicopter. But since it has already been stated by the DEVs that they don't want to remove the fixed wing aircraft, I'd also like the 2 seater air support planes to make a comeback.

OR they reduce the speed of jets to make them more realistic taiking in count the size of the maps , the amount of players , the render distance ,etc .

I believe the speed of aircraft was increased to make it more realistic but i dont see a problem even if it were to be reduced but the AA missiles and stuff have to have reduced speed too. That way we go back to vanilla bf2 sized maps which allows planes but isn't too big either.

The increased speed, for me at least, just makes it harder to aim, unless you spend alot of time in jets I'd assume you have to slow down or make the sharpest dive possible to actually hit anything. Aircraft physics are still been worked on anyway, they only came out in .6, so they still have alot of fiddling to do before I think the developers can even begin to be criticised about their performance.

Usually i try to start shooting from far if the target has a box that is. But for non visual targets the view distance is not that good also so by the time you have visual confirmation of the target it leaves you only 1-5 seconds to open fire and kill it since you are travelling so fast the time to shoot is greatly reduced.
