basra needs a couple of major changes

basrah is one of my least favorite maps, because one, insurgents always win, two when you are insurgent, theres nothing to do cept go cap teh vcp

all you do is wait for tickets to bleed out.

i suggest, remove the dome of death on the air field, so they can attack like IRL

increase british tickets, give em more time to find caches
make VCP uncappable, or maybe cappable but have no effect on tickets or caches or something.

take the fight to the city!

right now all we have is merlins flyin around getting rpg'd, and IFV's blowing up suicide cars with civillians in them.

used to be like that it was horrible,,,PLUS in real life insurgents dont rush heavily fortified USMC airfields....thats called....suicide...

dont forget...insurgents are defenders more than attackers...they would like nothing more than for the USMC to just leave....

i just say take the fight back to the city, however you do it

take it away from the VCP.
i dont care about random attacks on the airfield or uncaps
if insurgents do too much of that they lose ammo caches quick.

give the brits a chance!

It seems that there is a major problem with this game mode. BF2/PR has always been about caping and defending flags. Now if you take out all the flags and replace them with random placed ammo caches and leave only 1 flag what do you get? Same scenario round after round, people fighting for that only flag and that's wrong. The rest of the map in unused and it becomes a routine rush/defend the VCP flag map. That's why 24/7 Al Basrah server is empty most of the time now and it wasn't like that in 0.5. Please make the VCP flag uncappable. IMO it will bring back those good old firefights in the city and attract more people to play it.

Totally agree with that.. its so much more realistic to have fighting within the city more fun aswell. I think bringing back aas back will be unrealistic which is why the devs didnt put it in.

No they dont, ive been brit and won plenty of times, ok the only thing that stops the brits from winning is an inept side full of teh nubz :P Theres lots to do as insurgent too you havent explored the wonderful world of insurgent squad with RPG coordination and IED trap setting.

Nah i think the lack of tickets to be the most exhilarating thing the brits have to deal with. One cache left and only 12 tickets to find it... it gets intense.

Get an engineer in the back giving you hot spanner action and all is well :P

btw, get a jihad car, strap the two C4s then resupply and strap a 3rd one, drive over the highway to the east, then straight west into the airfield and directly to the motor pool, I did it before and you don't die immediately, when out-of-bounds timer runs out.

So it's possible to at least jihad the Merlin or IFVs, although it has no effect, as they respawn in 5 minutes...

conquest sucks , flag hoping one to another sucks bad to. i love going around in a squad searching for ammo caches, search compounds and stuff , its alot slower paced, but i guess ppl just love constant fighting , all the team heading to one flag , once capped , EVERYONE heading to the next flag , previous flag gets capped , EVERYONE heads back . it sucks. i hope around .8 or .9 PR has very little conquest maps.

back on topic : so u basicly just want to give the UK everything to rape the insurgents silly ??? hmmmmm....joke ?
