The Commander transmits to everyone on the team.

As far as I know most servers have disabled the Commander option. Not all though.

But a Squad Leader to Squad leader VOIP is not a bad idea. I would very much like to see that. Wether or not the coding is possible, I'm not sure. If so, I think a realistic implementation of this would be a very positive step towards more teamwork..

The idea VOIP for the commander would increase the appeal by a huge degree, even if some of his abilities (supplies, UAV) were gotten rid of.

It would be alot more interactive for the commander

im gonna have to say that u are wrong, well atleast in vanilla bf2, i don't know how prmm does it, there is never an option to be commander.

the commander only transmits to all the SQUAD LEADERS on his team, not everyone, i know this for a fact.

im almost positive the commander only transmits to all the squad leaders.

this can be annoying at times because if your another squad leader, you will only hear one end of the conversation.

i think it would be nice to have the commander and squad leaders all on the same 'frequency'. but keep squad members only talk amougst themselves.

also im in agreement, rename 'commander' to 'platoon leader'

You guys may be right. It's been so long since I've played with a commander, hell I wouldn't even know!

At any rate, I do agree-

1. The commander and squad leaders should all be on the same frequency. But keep squad members only talk amougst themselves. Also, of course each squad leader should be able to talk to his own squad and be able to hear his own squad. But only each individual squad leader can hear his own squad.

2. Renaming the commander to Platoon Leader would be a nice addition too! Or maybe Platoon Advisor. Something a little more professional.
