I wonder why the best suggestions almost never get any dev's answer...

I do not agree with sabotage using the shovel or wrench... i think that it should be either as it is now or with a sabotage kit/SF. I do agree with destroyed assets ticket penalty tho.

I agree with SL deployed sand bags but only close to friendly CP's or bunkers/fire bases. I do not agree with SL deploying razor wire that should only be a CO asset.

I agree with watch towers next to friendly CP's or bunkers/firebases and with limited deployable TOW.

Deployable ammo caches won't be useful as you already have too many places to resupply and get kits.

I agree with deployable supply crates from choppers but not with vehicles since that would require a plain to make the drop. ATV's on the other hand would be a nice idea.

The dev's opinion would be very welcome...

I like this idea. I would also like to see the sides of the UH-60 and rear of Mi-17 rearm infantry when they stand next to them as well. (as the humvee, apc, and ammo/repair trucks do) Surely, they would have extra magazines, field dressings, and other supplies for infantry to grab (in real life).

Maybe it could allow certain kits to be taken as well? Since this would put the helicopter in a vulnerable position by forcing it to land.

Picture a scenerio where a transport helicopter flys to the top of a building or tower, holding it steady so that an infantry unit can swap his default kit to a marksman allowing him to now snipe from that location.
Terranova wrote: Another idea I have which has nothing to do with CO deployables would be the ability for transport choppers such as the Blackhawk, Merlin and Mi-17 to drop supply crates. Basically the pilot clicks the fire button and a supply crate spawns underneath and drops. Pretty simple right?

To keep it from being abused or defeating the purpose of CO supply drops, the transport chopper's supply crate does not allow kit requesting. All it does is resupply ammunition. You might want to give the transport chopper's supply crate a different skin so player's can tell the difference between the CO's supply drop and the transport helicopter's. It could take a while for the transport chopper to reload the supply box at the main base.

Also, the transport chopper's supply crate doesn't have a parachute, so the pilot has to fly somewhat low when dropping the crate, or else it will simply break upon impact if dropped from a high altitude.

This might give transport pilots something else to do rather than taxi squads around the battlefield. Now they can make deliveries to players in need of ammunition.
