Limiting Limited Kits

I you want to clear a bunker or kill of a "softskinned vehicle", L-ATs will do on all maps without Tanks. If you want to shoot single infantery from a safe distance you're just utterly lame. /rant

really pisses me off, gettin hAT sniped is pants.

been thinking about this for a while, but maybe we could implement a way for the SL'ers to be the only ones that can request kits, and they have to request them on behalf of there squad, and distribute. + only 2 or 3 per squad.

No, I don't think it should be switched to pickup kits at all! Instead, imo this is the perfect solution:

HAT's are already only requestable from mains. So if you want to make other weapons only requestable from mains, then just do it the way it is done for HATs.

And if you want some maps to not have certain weapons, then the devs could just remove those guns from the request menu in those maps.


Simple solution that doesn't change the way the game is played. I say this because I think it is confusing to have SOME weapons requestable, and SOME be pickup kits (as in your idea). I don't like the inconsistency. Right now there is consistency in the game because the only teams with pickup kits are the ones who can't request any guns.

AS if kits aren't limited enough! and secondly who the hell are you to tell players how to and how not to use the HAT fact is, that HAT is limited enough and it's the only way to blast out infantry who are so dug in that it's like they're camping at a distance, as a sniper or marksman i can position myself to shoot behind a hole so small that it's only only a bullet can squeeze through, and the enemy can't hit me because i'm protected in every way, except from the HAT... so it's a necesary weapon in urban combat, just ask the US marines how they use the sraw in iraq... speaking of which i'm gonna use the sraw to blast out infantry right now before you all nerf the weapon more than it already has

The problem there is that those are valuable anti tank rounds that you are essentially wasting on humans whos lives can easily be taken with the correct and accurate use of a single bullet.

I dont care how dug in you are, i will find you on the battlefield. The more rubble you have packed around you, the less room you as a soldier have to maneuver. The less you have to work with, the more advantage I have. If you can only see out the size of a bullet hole, then sneaking up on you will prove an easy and satisfying kill.

I agree with what Mokito said on the First Page. As if Kit rushing is'nt bad enough on basrah now wait till the conventional army guys start doing it.(You want it to be worse then the Spec-Ops situation?)
