Consider we all hate BF2, I don't think we're going to like BF3

Does that mean we can get 80 player battles or more ?

Doesn't look like this will have destructible environments...which is lame. It's marginally better than BF2. Thats how EA works. They just create marginally better games, and lots of them. Just look at the need for speed series. Each one is marginally better than the other.

24 vehicles per side is pretty nice, BF2 had what? 8?
all the RPG-like customization would make modding a little easier as far as limited kits go (if they support modding).

I think this engine has more prospects for PR than say crysis IMO.

It has 80 players, VOIP and squad system etc which PR mainly needs, but hate the idea its made by EA...

Well, you know, maybe in 10 years, they'll finally make a good BF## game, which PR could run on perfectly(enough players, squad system etc.)

:p

but how flexible will it be Rhino - no one KNOWS!

Personally if the new game cannot be modded to have a squad and order system with a greater number of features, i will care very little for it becuase as all you DEVs keep telling us and i agree with you on this, the BF2 engine still has a fair bit left in it - long draw distances, very large maps, "destructible" buildings, decent squad squad, order and communication system - all the things that make PR different and really quite superior!
So an extra 16 players, does not sounds like a great reason to me. If however it is combined with a much more modder friendly engine, then mabey!

True, true.

The kit customization system kinda reminds me of CoD4, let's see what it turns out like.

insted of 64 players, the servers maybe are going to have 80 players.

What I most liked was about the soldier customization. Well, let's we just wait and see.

Squads and Commanders are present, introduced are “Battalions” which consist of three to four squads.
that sounds good ^^^ though we have all seen the videos of what bf2 was going to look like.

If its got the frostbite engine doesnt that mean its gona have the sweet destructible environments? 80 plays on a server will be good, better graphics, better physics?

Well it sounds good. But I will probably still be more interested in the mods for it.

Please note that none of this is confirmed, we’ve emailed a few people from EA and DICE (Battlefield developers) and will update the article as soon as we know more.
Update 2011-04-01
This was all a scam.

Two playable factions NATO and MEC, based in the Middle East< This info makes makes me believe it's real
>>> NATO AND THE MIDDLE EAST

The three page document is apparently prepared for investors which should get it by December of this year.

Investors. What investors are they refering to? Do EA and DICE need investors?

Five playable classes; Sniper, Assault, Engineer, Medic and Support :? : :? :
