Dunno if you can upgrade RAM on a Laptop but if you can, get an extra gig or 2

Vista is a RAM whore ...

i dont know squat about laptops but like banner said vista is a ram hog. that could be part of the problem. processor seems a little slow at 1.5 or is that 1.5x2? i donno

maybe someone who knows more about laptops can help

Yeh, he must have a dual core laptop as he put 1.5Ghz (2 CPU)

So he has 3Ghz overall.

But i heard BF2 doesn't like multicores :(

No, 1.5Ghz and 2 cores does NOT equal 3Ghz.

And I have a dual core, and BF2 runs like a charm.

He has dual core, but dual core doesnt double your speed, it just means you have 2 cores at that speed. :)

its like 2.92Ghz total.
CPU Speed
Recommended: 2.4 GHz
You Have: 1.50 GHz Performance Rated at 2.92 GHz

No, having 2 cores does NOT double your speed. It lets you do more, and stuff on different cores, but at 1.5Ghz. And the recommended 2.4GHz depends on your processor. Maybe you need a 2.4GHz pentium 4 to play BF2, but a 1.6GHz core 2 duo would probably be even better, even though it has a slower clock speed.

His computer specs are more then enough to run BF2 :P R. He has plenty of ram. Processor is not the problem, his video card is doing most of the work. If you have a bunch of programs turned on that would do it. Disable firewalls, anti-virus/spyware/etc, and see if that works
