Only one problem... There is no PR maps forum, haha!

How about making one? Its gonna happen sooner or later anyway. Try to get an interest and I bet more mappers will be lining up to make something for PR (whether it be in the mod or just a PR fan map is another question).

Sounds like a good idea. If enough people are interested, I don't see why it shouldn't happen.

(Btw, if you want to make a thread about a map you are making for PRMM the best place to put at the moment is General Discussion.)

Well, its no rush for me to post about the map. Now I cant even start it due to an error on the colormaps, stupid editor!!!

Yeah, the editor can be really annoying at times. It's very easy to screw up your map. What usually do is I use 'save as' before I make more changes. That way I can always go back to a version that worked.

Pr and maps are being looked at in diffrent ways.

Some maps are based upon situations, such as convoy needs to get from point A to point B. When USMC get vehicle to point B USMC win. So instead of just capture all the land we have diversified and tried to make "objective style maps".

Also, we have looked at real life Ordanance Survey maps, with a realistic amount of data, so we can create a realistic terrain. For instance, A gorge would be done in grave detail, with U shaped valleys, Cirques, Hanging valleys, morrains etc etc.

Maps are hard to show in WIP but I can safely say that we do have some near completion. Time as allways is of the esscence though.

Grave detail... Well that is out of my league, haha! If I where to put grave detail on a model 400x400 meter in size, I would be sitting in front of the editor till february ;)

Objective gameplay hasnt concerned me (cant pack a new gameplay mode with a map) but I'm really looking forward to see it in action for PR (and even more to play it)! :)

was a pun, but semed funnier at the time!

We are not going into microscopic detail, but to have a mountain range placed in the middle of a map is just odd (El Alamein for example!). OS maps are also great for urvban areas. An urban map gives you the perfect layout to a realistic city! It's great!

True, for urban maps you need help. Its damn hard to make, lol.

I fail to see your point about El Alamein though... I dont find that odd, really. Sure it might not have been very logical, but BF1942 wasnt capable of much more, lol.
