Rhino, do you have any information of such a map going to be made for PR, just like ''Airport'' back in 0.5? :D

if this were ever to be implemented in pr... by chance could the first like 5-15 minutes of the round be night then slowly becomes sunrise thereafter... making paradrops only effective during the first 5-15 minutes or whatever time limit allocated to night

Airport would have worked great if the para-spawn was lost as soon as the last hangar was capped rather than providing target practice for the MEC on the flag. Good map but too crowded

The fact that descents are surprise attacks, and in PR the only possible reason a player can be surprised by the direction of the attack is that it is his first time... well it steals the fun (=reality). I have to say that a paradrop is okay for a fluffy prologue, but not for a battle situation.

Also, in Warlord you had the luxury of spawning on the ground *near* to where the air-spawn point was.

Any plonker with .50 cal covering the spawn at the start of the map usually got a single pistol round to the head on servers when I was playing - nothing more satisifying than killing someone taking advantage of team-mate's stupidity.

And let's face it - you DO have to be a certain kind of special to keep spawning in mid-air and descending slowly when you know for a fact that 20 enemy troops are waiting with rifles pointed upwards waiting for you to do it.

the enemy can't always predict where its going to be.
The plane they're using is static from what I've read. All you do is spawn in the back and jump out. It looks like it's moving thanks to animated clouds and such.

About spawn camping the para-spawns. That shouldn't be a problem if the enemy forces aren't anywhere near the drop-zone. The para-spawns should be excluded from the map after certain events are triggered, such as capture of a new flag, time limit etc.
