dude,

whenever i play with people that are on the same TS as me,

we are the uber 1337 "FWD OPS" squad.

1 support kit, and 1 or 2 engineers.
and maybe if there are lots of enemy's, a marksman (only if it absolutely necessary)

Why is the Spec Op the most discussed thing on these forums?
He's even more popular than fastropes...

please...everyone knows the m95/m82a1 location is the most discussed....but that's besides the point.

My question is why do you and a lot of other people not seem to care? In real life the special forces are highly valued and highly respected. Isn't this game hell-bent on realism, to a certain extent?

Who wants worthless kits in the game? I sure as hell don't. I think it's sad that a lot of people now and in the future will see spec-ops in the requestable list and think "what a stupid, pointless kit" as they pass over it to grab a grenadier or LAT.

As said before, I seriously believe that giving him any one or combination of the following (3 or 4 SLAMS total, grenades, grappling hook, 2 LESS mags for a trade of one of these...etc....) will make the kit a lot more useful as well as fun to play. No one wants to play a kit that they hate....

If you're not going to scrap spec-ops, which honestly I'd be fine with if you did, then DONT just try to "push him aside", because having a worthless kit is worse than not having it at all.

I will never respect the SF kit, because it's used by the vBf2 nubz, who just play it for the 1337 name and a stupid looking gun.
Fun slaughtering the enemy team with it, after you pick it up off a dead fool

*ahem*

Special Forces: give them flashes, a teargas grenade... basically anything that can screw up the enemy without shooting them. I thought special forces were 'elite covert forces' charged with handling sensitive missions where brute force is not a realistic option (ala bombing a hotel filled with hostages with 155mm artillery shells) (...commander asset anyone? manual controlled stationary artillery <_< another thought perhaps)

Give them an assload of 'support' / flanking tools. Smoke, flashes, teargas, a SLAM or two for making holes in walls; at the expense of magazines.

Just a thought though. Teargas might be overkill, then we'd need masks... and that's hurtin.

I usually use MSPF in confined spaces, where the zoom of the rifleman's irons are totally worthless. The aimpoint really helps in that respect.

Well, since it is Reality Mod....Why not try to tweak it to be a tad more realistic? 2 frags, 2 bangs, and 1 smoke would be cool, but I don't think losing mags is necessary. And please give MSPF Kimbers.
