you only need to warn me once bro and as for the French not being as useless as i thought they had been i guess i was wrong and i dont like them because they didnt join our war i dont like them cause ive been to France and honestly have never met more moodier people in my life just like how people come to Hawaii and see how bad we treat the white guys that come to our islands and then have bitter feelings toward the Hawaiians
get it now bud?

lulz, chill bra. Aint got no Hawaiians or Filipinos on my case since I first came here, though you got a point on the mistreatment. No need to cause any fights over something like this. No warning, just chill.

ironcomatose wrote:There are no French nationals in the French Foreign Legion. They are all American(even former Marines), British or whoever else that wants to join. Anyone can join the FFL(French Foreign Legion)from any country. You can even join the legion as a criminal and they will wipe your slate clean and give you a new name. The purpose of all of this is to give the French government a military force to throw around without worry of public backlash. But this does have its problems, in the 60's i believe it was, the FFL actually tried to kill the French PM/President and other government officials in a attempt to over throw the government. Ever since then the FFL has no bases inside of France so in conclusion the FFL ARE NOT FRENCH!!

I learned all of this on the military channel. I hope this helps you SGT.JOKER.
That made me smile. Where are you living? Mars by any chance? :)

a) There are Frenchmen amongst the legionists assigning them to other French-speaking countries.
b) I bet there are more Serbians in their lines than Americans -- heck I would even go as far as saying even more Hungarians than Americans.
c) Your conspiracy theory reminds me of The Professional starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and he played a forsaken member of their secret service.
d) ˇ I personally saw one of a still functioning recruiting barrack of the Legion Etrangere in 2001 (I think it was in Strasbourg).
e) The commanding language is still French.

If you ever read this topic again:use this as reference instead of obscured military forums and your imagination.

I'd be happy to see the FL. Their background-story would add a lot of flavour and possibilities for the maps they're in.

I found this and this so far for armours.

Addition: two articles about the French army. And the VBT, which should be an obvious choice for the FFL but I didn't find anything related.

From what I understand the FFL is mostly an infantry based force. I don't think tanks would be necessary. The kind of maps I see them in are open deserts with insurgents and desert cities.

Do we really need anymore teams? Seriously, unless they offer a really unique way of playing there is no point to have all these different sides. IMHO.

I agree with the dismissal of MBTs and would like to see them fight in infantry maps. A couple of light tanks would be okay still. And that lovely VBT!

NickO wrote:Need isnt the right word.

Want is more fitting.
Considering that now any faction can face any other faction, I'd like to see more European based countries. It would open up a lot of scenarios and locals with say Russia pushing into Europe. Germany, Sweden, Italy and France would be my top picks.

But yeah, it's more of a want than anything. Though having a large variety of countries in your mod greatly increases the lifespan and brings in a much larger and diverse audience. So I say if people out there can group together and work on another community faction, go for it.

From Europe it's just Germany and the Foreign Legion for me that I'd like to see later in PR. Maybe the Spanish Legion. But any other rational addition adds someextra fun of course! :)
Funny fact: Mussolini's army couldn't handle the fierce resistance of neither Ethiopia nor Albania. :D

What I would really like to see in PR is German faction :D I love the G36 series. Current vBF2 G36C/K/E could be used for non scoped variant but I'm afraid that rifleman (scoped) variant would require a whole new model.

These guys worked on a french army. This mod is out and quite sympathic but it d be better at project reality sauce. It features choppers, planes, new weapons, statics, soldiers skins.

French Foreign Legion - Le Recrutement

All that I have to say, it is that if polish are, FFL can be.

I dont think the legion has different uniforms and equipement than the french army in general.
The tactical progression mod has done a great job, unfortunately only a few people plays it and they dont have the project reality maps and game features.
