welcome :)

just join the VOIP squad and tell them you're a mute but you type fast and ask if you can stay. they'll usually let you unless they're asses.

in VOIP squads, the VOIP isn't as important as the fact people who are willing to talk are usually good team players because they're not afraid of not being anonymous.

Hi Danya! Welcome to PR.
addicting....tread carefully as to not lose your social life.

There are only so many servers, people will get to know you by name after a bit. you'll just have to notice that some guys form 'mics only' squads, but they'd be jerks not to let you in.

I'd be happy to offer any pointers to you.

You will do fine without voice. KatieWolf plays all the time without using a mike; she joins squads and just texts all of her comments.

Welcome, mate!

Hmmm.. sounds odd, that's my default reply when someone's new on the forums. I'm sure you don't have a problem with me calling you 'mate'. Or would you prefer 'dude' instead? :D

Have a good one in PR! Hope you like it as much as the rest of us here :)

Welcome to the community, I sincerely doubt the lack of a voice will really hinder your ability to play. I've played with those who have vocal problems in the past (not specifically PR, but BF2, CS, some MMOs etc), and it was never an issue.

To be honest despite such inforced teamwork, I've seen more 'silent' leaders than you'd think. The order menus is very helpful in that sense.

Anyway I look forward to fighting alongside you, see you in the field.

Me being a Mute just means I can't yell at you :P actually can't yell at anyone but my Middle finger works great!

And I'm from Richmond VA.
Vancouver? Oh yes, welcome to the PR community. Lots of fun stuff around here, like guns ;)

The mute thing isn't really going to be a problem, it's nice to have squad members who will talk, but then again half of them won't ever shut up. And when you have the CO and your SM's yaking and your on TS, you might as well sit in a corner for the rest of the round and quiver. If you do need somebody to lead you around and show you the ropes I'd be happy to. I've been (recently) leading two of my clan members around and they seem to be learning the ropes pretty fast. So yeah, welcome to the community and I hope you enjoy your stay.

...and shes amazingly stopped dropping her "F" bombs lately...heh-heh is she ill or what?

Welcome to PRville Danya. I'm not far from Virginia ping wise, so you'll more than likely be seeing me in game. Be sure and join my squad when you spot me...or kill me dead if your on other side of the gun. Either way it'll be a fun time for all.

Welcome to Project Reality, DanyaLyn!

We'd be glad to have you on our Thors Brigade servers! They're located in Germany so that may or may not be a slight hindrance ping-wise. But do try to join us, we have lots of players from the States.

Hit me up and join my squad, the A-TEAM!

If anybody is giving you a hard time for not using VOIP (which I really doubt would ever happen), I promise to kick their *** and immediately invite to you in my squad. Also, try to join up with other -=TB=- clan members and members of the *=LP=* clan, they're also a bunch of very nice guys from all over the world.

In terms of learning the PR way of things, as the others said the manual is your friend. Other than that, just ask around. Just avoid the question: "What's the shovel for?" (You build commander assets with it like bunkers etc.)

Anyway, have a good time playing PR, see you on the battlefield!

I least you wont have Cladivis's problem, where she gets kicked out of squads after her first word because she sounds gay.

I got confused by the VA. I have yet to hear Cladivis in game, though I now note not to kick gay sounding people.

Negative on that. You are now free to kick gay sounding people. Claudius out.

Welcome to PRM. Sorry to hear about your accident. On the other hand, I think you'll be able to do just fine with the Q&T menus plus some typing :)

I think you'll feel right at home:
