Must be my military experience, but I get the feeling everyone else is smoking crack or something. So far, from what I have seen lately, suppressive fire DOES work. At least it does for me, when I hear those cracks start hitting around me, green tracers coming in, and my ears start ringing, that means it's time to "get little in your hole" and call in support.
I DO fear the enemy's fire. Sticking my little head out means another 30-second respawn before I can get back to my team. And I never seem to have trouble when I'm laying down suppressive fire on the enemy. I open up with my SAW or even semi-aimed shots with a rifle, and down they go. Sometimes they don't come back up, but usually they stick their heads out when I reload. If my backup hasn't wasted em by that time.
And I have to agree with the mods, don't alter ammo loadouts. For the most part they are realistic. Rifleman carries 7 mags, AR carries 3 boxes, etc. It's also good to hear that firing will take a delay for accuracy soon. Those bunny-hopping, dolphin-diving little ******** will eventually go away now.

well suppresive fire works in real life cus you only have one life, in pr you can die and just spawn on squad leader. so if you want people to fear death in pr then you will have to increase spawn times or remove apc and squad leader spawn.

Actually I'm not entirely sure that dolphind diving *will* be fixed.
Unless the movement-to-stillness aiming penalties are larger for someone going prone than they are for crouch/standing, the guy who dives will still get an advantage by virtue of his ability to drop his centre of mass below the standing guy's aimpoint very very quickly.
We'll have to wait and see come Beta, I guess

(Although obviously if proning DOES give a longer "settle time" penalty or whatever, obviously this will go some way to negating the diver's advantage.)
Anyways, there's a conclusive response from the team on this one... ammo levels are staying as they are. (A Good Thing, methinks).

It's hard to shoot back when you get that shocked vision from bullets passing by. If you manage to cause that to your opponent, he's not likely moving out of the cover. And if he does, he won't be able to shoot accurately.
I think the ammo is OK and should stay as it is.

It works about 10% as well as it will work in 0.7.

Bullshit. Supressive fire DOESN'T work. It works 10% - maybe 25% of a time. I used to use it a lot, but Im not. Laying supressive fire in PR doesnt mean what it means in RL (but I can only judge by the movies about real situations, Im not a soldier). In PR when you're laying supressive fire you are shouting HERE I AM KILL ME.
When someone is "supressed" he can just pop up and have an instant accuracy thingy. If he is supressed with more than one guy, he just relocates a meter to the left or right, and before you spray in his direction he will kill another one.
That what PR supressing fire is. And Im pissed when someone is saying that it actually works. Cause either he is not playing the freaking game or he is playing with total retards. Im playing with good guys and me and them do the instant accuracy instant kill all the time to the smartypants that think their spraying gonna keep us behind cover. END!!!!
And about the changes, Im very, very glad that this insta accuracy gonna be change and supressing fire can finally be a working feature. I miss that. I liked using my SAW plus 1 or 2 of our guys then rest of the squad was circling around, good times. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
