Helicoptere pîlot didnot carry MP5 ? i mean in Black Hawk Down... Mike Durant was using an SMG... LOL XD how about in Real life ? try to imagine the hell it became down here... you're black hawk is down around you... many hostile just wanted to hurt you as maximum whit evrything fallen in they're hand... DAMN hope Evac or Support is close-by.

BTW except SFO nobody realy use he's side arm weapon... and in fact, i dont think SFO would use it...may be in LAST resort but... its sure nobody will engage fight whit a 9mm in a real life war... its so "ridiculous" a riffleman will kill you at 300M... at that distance its useless to even try to shoot somone whit a pistols. Pass 50 Meters its USELESS.

they where evauating the MP5 in the 1990s, It was deemed not sutable

I love that scene, and it a true event, that show how loyal for each other soldier are. They go in, event if they know they will die for that guy. They sacrifice thei're life for a brother in arms. They do the right thing, Having been at them place I probably made the same choice.

They use it like we use Knive in Battlefield. Grab the guy from behind and boom...unless the situation need, they will use many primary weapons at theire disposition like M16A3FA, HK416, SCAR... M4A1SOPMOD... you know weapons which can kill whit one shot over 300M...

US Army 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (and only that aviation unit) in the early 1990s issued MP5 variants to its aviators. After Somalia, they decided it lacked enough power, and stopped issuing them. They have not been used by any of our aircrews for 14 years.

Um, a suppressed pistol can kill a unsuspecting target at 50m...Its also sneakier than a MG = more suitable.
no, they use a knife like in BF2 (or COD4) to slit a guys throat ect. if they can't get closer, then they use a suppressed pistol, if they can't do ether, then the go Overt with a offensive attack. The problem with a AR is you can shoot far, but they can hear it from further.

I Did and pass 25M Its became SO HARD to hit target right in the middle, now think to wind and weather...loool... inform you're self before. BTW Subsonic ammo in MP5SD6 is VERY SNEAKY. .45 make supersonic crack each time you shoot, if you reduce the powder enought to dont make crack... you're bullet cannot have enought velocity to even kill somone.

If .45 is so powerfull why did army give M16A4 moded costing 5 time the price of a single .45 ? humm let me think... you're handgun will not penetrate heavy body armor, if will not kill you except if you hit the heart or the head (almost impossible due the fact MICH helmet can stop a 357 MAGNUM bullet...) No, just no. A helmet doesnt cover your face. Your brain and heart dont care whether it is a 9mm bullet or a 120mm SABOT round last I checked. They kill you just the same.

Effective range of the Mk23 SOCOM Pistol (In common use with USSOCOM) is 54 yards, or 162 feet. Thats 1/2 a football field. And you can bet your butt that if you are in a SOF unit, then you can hit mighty close to that 162 feet. These guys shoot day in and day out until their bones are sore. (The trigger hand of a Special Forces Soldier is callaused and blistered heavily) The MP5SD is not a pistol, its a submachinegun (And yes for the smartasses out there, I am aware MP stands for Machine Pistol)


If they are inches away, they pull a knife. Its much quieter and leaves less evidence.

The M16A3 (Not M16A3FA...) is rarely used now. Was going to be a SOF weapon but was useless compared to the M4A1. Also, it may still be used for Naval Security.

How the hell can someone argue a point about something that they have never done? You have no idea what or how a Special Forces soldier or a Navy Seal for that matter would use a piece of equipment so why bother to speculate. Yeah I believe that is correct. The De Lisle carbine was chambered in that caliber for that reason.

My reason for asking was if soldiers IRL had the option to customize weapon setups, it would be an legitimate addon in PR. I realize now that the massive work with animations make it not so important atm.
