Let me get this straight, you looked for the original thread, you did enough searching to find the damn thing, it's frigging open but you make your own topic anyway? What the hell kind of logic is that?

I think the round ones will fit way better than the contolled parachutes ..
The most common used parachutes by the army are round ones

What Tirak said. Most people post a re-suggestion without actually knowing it. Taking the trouble to find an old thread about it, and then instead of using that old topic, or acknowledging that, well, it has been suggested before, so the devs know about it (and trust me, the Military Advisors can be relied upon to point out stuff like this), so just letting it go, you still make a new thread? Merge.

but i often see this kind other parachutes on the battlefield (paratroopers and such), the difference: these parachutes will go down quik, and they wont be so manauvreable, i personnaly dont like to see chutes going off at 500 mtrs and they can travel the half of the map

1st. lol, jump boats xD
2nd. The difference between jump boots and regular combat boots were during WW2 that regular combat boots weren't as high, they were only laced to the ankle while jump boots where higher and laced from the instep to the top.
Modern combat boots are almost exclusively fully laced, so there's no need for special boots when parachuting.
In essence, all modern soldiers wear jump boots.

Yeah, I made the original base (was pretty fail), then gave it to motherdear to make it more awesome. I was hoping it would get into v0.9, but busy people are busy, so all we could squeeze in was different handling.

Didn't want to bump an ancient thread either
Hotness
So next time it happens, you revive the old thread and say how gameplay has changed and how the suggestion can better benefit PR.

This is the soon to be standard conventional airborne paratrooper parachute for USA, replacing the T-10 chute. The T-11 Mass Tactical Canopy Personnel Parachute System, the Spec-op version is the MC-6 Maneuverable Canopy Personnel Parachute System.
