The only Militia weaponry I question is the combinations of submachine guns they carry. I can understand the Bizon and Skorpion or the Bizon and PPSH-41. Because the Bizon can be converted to fire either the 9x18mm PM or the 7,62x25mm Tokarev. The Skorpion can use the 9x18mm PM cartridge whilst the PPSH-41 uses the famed 7,62x25mm Tokarev pistol cartridge.

This truly only confuses me based on the huge difference in possible ammo between the Skorpion and the PPSH-41. Whenever discussing the insurgent forces before a big complaint with the AK-101 was it did not use the 7.62mm round that the AK-47 used and it was preferred they used a standard of ammunition. Now it is my understanding that the militia is a more developed force and thus would they not themselves had standardized there own weapons as such?

The two main infantry rifles on there force are standardized by the 7,62x39mm round. The submachine guns themselves are split between the 7,62x25mm and the 9x18mm round. I personally would believe due to the newer nature and the Soviet distribution of the 9x18mm PM round, via there Makarov PM handgun that those themselves would be easier to procure. That is the only true confusion I have with the Militia force's small arms at this time.

Still can't understand why militia do not have any AK-74(101)? They are wide spread inside post-USSR republics and around former USSR borders.

+ they are pretty easy to get, black salers sell them at price around 200$

when we outlined the militia faction which i am primarily mapping for...one of the things i really really wanted was them not to be another ak series faction..

so, was scrounged around and found the interesting or fun weapons that we thought this type of faction might get a hold of...

thats the answer to the great mystery of why the militia dont use aks (one class does though right? I was against that even)

Point is...i love the fact that if i play the militia the way to play changes..

As I assumed. More the fun odd faction then a standard AK-totting more advanced insurgent faction. I can't say I don't disagree and thanks for clarifying. Sorry to get all techincal on you and that kinda stuff.

And you call it Project Reality after this? Why not to arm that militia with Mp44 or some XIX century winchesters? Or even muskets? Kinda strange to me...all those 'standart' militia weapons are so rare that in Project Reality they may be only pick up kits, each of them one per map.

ok there longbow...hehe...yeah...uhm...gameplay....uhm....boredom with ak series weapons....uhm....fun.....

hmmm.....why is it so tough for some people to just enjoy what they have...last i checked people liked playing as the miltia because they are unique...and thats what we wanted a faction somewhere between conventional and insurgent type militias...

anyway...not likely to change any time soon..

they don't want to get, that ppshs are still in use, just like the SKS. The only change that should be done to the militia ist giving them a FN FAL instead of the AK-47, so that they are not an ak faction any more

Oh don't take it as I am not enjoying it. As it stands I don't even play Project Reality. Just chiming in on the only thing I noticed odd about the faction. Its explained and no complaints. Just a general curiosity on why you did it.

i think they should have at least one AK weapon, since the Ak is the weapon of freedom and liberation to many and the militia are a bunch of rebels.

I just know that on the territory of former USSR and around it's borders most whide spread black market weapon is AK-74. Thats why I truly believe that it should be a weapon of militant. Ffs, it's a main weapon of almost all rebels\insurgents\militants\criminals on those territories and Reality mod doesn't feature it? And don't tell me about gameplay...when ppl ask to fix something (which is really significant for gameplay) you, developers, always answer that this is Project Reality and the idea written by someone in suggestions forum is not real. Double standarts yeah?

p/s don't take me wrong, I like the mod, Militia faction and I'm not complaining.

i personally hate the bizon. everything else is fine.. just get rid of that peice of junk :X

also ak74s as someone said earlier would be a bit more realistic
an ak series class would be alot of fun if you mix up the aks/make new ones

I like the militia as it is. It is a fun and different army to play, keeps thing spiced up. Also, the weapons are very different when compared to the insurgents or MEC, which makes it a little challenging to learn to use them effectively.

If you want AKs, just go play al basrah fools. Leave my flipping militiamen alone.

It's outdated russian weaponry, exept for PKM and SVD (should be PK though, PKM is mostly used in Russian army + the model is innacurate - most of PKM's are upgraded PK's and have massive flash hider). From what I know, that chechenian faggots sometimes have better equipment then regular Russian army - high-quality western scopes, PDA's, huge variety of shoulder-fired AT\AA weaponry, much better camo and vests, etc. Basic weapon is AK(S)-74 though, sometimes AKM. But come on, there are no AK-47's or SKS there...you may find them in the middle east, but not in Russia\near Russian borders. Why bother to buy some old WWII weaponry when you may buy AK-74 for 200 bucks?
