Depends. I find flying with joystick much easier with my joystick. (X52

)
More natural I guess. As for the LB, land on level ground, slowly and
not moving sideways. It is just a matter of practice and practice. I first used a joystick in BF1942 and at first I was bad, then I rapidly got better. Just takes getting used to, and with a joystick, especially the x52, I feel more in control.

Yeah, I just need to find the correct way to set mine, so it can stabilize easier for the landings.... (I have to read in details what is the meaning of the deadzone, range , etc....)

Planes= Joystick < All
Chopters= Mouse keyboard + pure keyboard > Joystick
Sure joysticks allow you to control your collective on the chopters but there is an art to tapping. Plus, 100% negative collective power can present some sexy little tricks.

I can do 100% negative collective power with my throttle as well....

Showoff..

Mouse+Keyboard is nice for Choppers. Though I prefer the Joystick as well. It responses way much faster.

I mean immediate and and short, not the more prolonged and gradual approach of the joystick. Besides, is the interchanging between mouse and KB and pure KB that offers the best flexibility, IMO.

I use the throttle of my X52 as well as mouse and keyboard

, just for mantaining a solid hover which is impossible with buttons tbh..

it is possible
level your chopper up, set throttle to idle and sporadically press W, so your heli won't lose its altitude

It's a black art! I keep my throttle at 15% (it varies depending on the helo) that way I can apply full throttle with the "w" key and release into a perfect hover, or press "s" and drop.. works really well for me, I guess it's whatever works best for the individual is all that matters..

Tx Leo, looks interesting ill check it out!
To meatmasher: If you read the thread you should be able to run it.... but here you go:
-be sure to "extract here" and not "extract to a new folder"
-and select the insurgency mode

Joystick > All for Planes and Helos. Especially in .7. As for landing the LB, you need to keep track of your weight momentum and offset it with a flare in the proper direction.

Is there any way to save your configs in joy2key?
I tried configuring the hat switch to look around and it's awesome, but I have to do it every time I fire up my game.
