I think 60 feet isn't really that far. Think 20 yards on the track. My friends and I have cliff jumped 60 feet a lot with no problems. Sure gear is going to make a difference but more to the fact of it pulling up on you as you submerge I'd guess...most likely pinching your Twig and Berries. ;)

with the wrong technique yes its like hitting concrete but in SF there is a technique they use. put your legs straight and close, clench your buttocks and place your hands over your groin. if you do not clench ur buttocks water will shoot up your behind into your belly :wink:
