Your Connection To The Server Has Been Lost

That Esc trick worked for me. Immediately when it says "Problem with your Connection" press the Esc key and go to the menu. Then come back out and suddenly it's all fixed. Rinse repeat. When you press Esc your PC sends a different kind of packet to the server or DICE Stats server. Until it sees that packet sometimes it forgets you are there for some reason. I have no idea why.

This "connection lost" problem is mostly if not all routing issue with VoIP. Some firewalls are considering VoIP packets Denial of Service (DoS) attack therefore closing connection.
Try disabling VoIP in your sound settings, or shut down all firewalls (this is what EA Tech support suggested). If it works you should also be able to fix it.

i don't believe in this since i sometimes can still hear ppl chatter via voip while i am having the problems with connection text

There might be other reasons but this one worked for me. I still can keep Windows firewall on.SnipingCoward wrote:lol! either no teamwork b/c no voip (reason why i play pr)

It's not issue with all servers. Problem came out on many servers that were over half full and had longer routing between server and client. So I guess when server starts to response slower and there is longer (slower) way for VoIP packets they are considered (by some firewalls) as DoS packets. Maybe this can somehow happen at client end too, e.g. computer is slow at map start, or maybe that's something else and not firewall related at all.

I don't know, i get it on the TG server frequently, but as has been said in other places that server is full constantly. Though as a supporting member that's not a problem
i usually only have a pin of 18-25 there. Maybe it's something with the X-FI cards and related to the EAX problems some people are having, if it's somehow related to VoIP? The escape trick has never worked for me, I'm always disconnected fully from the server though not from EA's stat tracker (when my net connection drops, I'm disconnected from that however, so I know)

Ok this happened to me for a while too on Vbf2 although it was very frequent (like every 2 mins or so, where i would find myself flying in a j10 perfectly normal then bam "there is a problem with your connection" 2 secs later CRASH, j10 gone...
My problem was my wirelss, I spent time changing my connectivity method from wireless to Ethernet cable...
That wireless router was what was causing the problem... (wireless sucks!)
If you have wireless try it, if not...no other idea's. sorry.

Disabling the service listed there didn't do anything for my connection problems, but disabling VOIP did. I was finally able to join a server running Basrah, which ususally disconnects me as soon as I finish loading. Is there any way I can fix this and retain VOIP? I may try running an ethernet cable out to my router..

Like I posted earlier try disabling all firewalls if you get it working VoIP off. Check your software firewalls (antivirus etc.) and your router. Routers often have somekind firewall on, check your manual for details. Or if you manage to get some other router in your hands try that.
If that works you can try putting your firewalls back one by one and open ports for VoIP traffic (I don't remember which ones but I'm sure Google will help you), or if you are worried your safety you can try just open VoIP ports for start.
