Since the CF Mod wont use C7A1, C7, nor C8 or C8A1, and our pistol is a Glock 17, we have mostly completely different vehicles, different outfits, + i'd love to hear dutch voices in pr.

A lot of armed forces around the world use the canadian AR-15 variant, the C7 and C8. The canadians use the C7A2 and some different versions of the C8.
I know that Norway use the C7A1, so does the dutch and the danish armed forces for all branches of the military, even the national guard. With Elcan.
The danish even made Diemaco make a new C8 for our special forces, the C8A2 - the canadians dont even use that one last time I checked.
All of these three armed forces are currently serving in Afghanistan in some rough areas. Denmark completed their assignments in Iraq and pulled out of the Basrah area back in 2007.
Afghanistan is still pretty hot and a lot of fighting is going on there, which would be "great" for some map scenarios.

Building a faction is HARD work. Ask any of the community faction developers and they'll give you the same answer.
I'll tell you a little secret. Me and some others once started a dutch faction for PR and came a long way, but we're finished by far. It's not dead, but I'm not sure how much life is still left. Hence I figured I could post this info.
We had no confirmation whatsoever the faction (if it would finish) would be in PR, but we had fun while doing our things. Again, it's HARD work.
Here's the design plan: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key= ... 9o0NGPzyOw
Just a little bit more depth than your first setup, so be warned
.
Also, not everything in there is as it should, when it comes to the use of certain weapons and things.
As I've seen what 0.7 would be like many weeks ago, I realized it would be even harder to make a new faction. It needs to be REALLY good, in order to make it to PR.
Then again, you shouldn't want to do EVERYTHING for your first release, you should build it up, just like Militia and the Brits were built up.
Another thing, people should only get involved if they can be *trusted*. I think every mod and/or community faction suffers from these things. People are enthusiastic at the very beginning, but only the "core" will remain. People are suddenly M.I.A. etc. Be aware of these things.
Well, that's my three cents
.
There is a build, which worked fine with PR 0.6, but have never tried it with 0.7. Should work, I guess.
Edit: you have to ask yourself, would it be worth it to add the Dutch Armed Forces to PR? As said earlier, they have simliar weaponry as the Canadians. They're using other vehicles (also the new Fennek, which is pretty much awesome), but apart from that, would it "feel" different? Would it really be a unique faction?

Lots of people are interested in creating a new faction, but enthusiasm only isn't going to get you anywhere. Or at least not that far.

I think it would be smart to focus your efforts on original stuff the Dutch actually use in Afghanistan. Weapons should include Glock 17, Panzer faust 3 (Bunkerfaust), Spike MR (Gill) and vehicles like PzH 2000, Fennek, soft top G wagon, Bushmaster IMV, YPR765 IFV. The other stuff (f-16, apache, diemaco, AWM, chinook etc.) is either already ingame or will be made for other factions.
Good luck.
Good luck.
