wait, I havent been in a helicopter yet in .7 (dont ask...) but they crash when you fire both miniguns now?...

Many of the people I play with regularly (including myself) deal with that sort of **** really harshly. If we're in a jeep and a guy gets in the 50 and starts blazing around randomly we'll stop, shoot him, then get back in and continue.

Yes, You are distracting the pilot with the annoying minigun sound and also giving away our posiion by firing those tracers in the air.
Thus when you try to type the chopper goes left and right and sometimes yo uare able to corretc but sometimes not.

i usually land the chopper at the carrier (on jabal) get out and shoot the guy with my pistol. or i do some crazy maneuvers like going up to 200 meters and dive straight towards the water then pull up in the last second, or spin around like crazy.

I advocate that one. It's worked well for me in the past - only had to make good on it once, too. Didn't make me very popular with the guys in the back who *weren't* firing the miniguns, but they understood

I also yell at squad members who fire at solo infantrymen when we're trying to avoid detection, and sometimes put a round into the ground by their feet. On the whole after one "For the love of GOD I said to HOLD YOUR FIRE! *boom*" most people get the idea.

easy, you give the copilot a nice on/off switch the same way as the Merlin Ramp which switches the minguns on and off.

You'd have to type to him to turn the guns off.

Also, I seem to remember a suggestion whereby folks would have to request pilot permission to engage; but the dev didn't like it - Saying it gets too stupid when people're having to request to open fire on the obvious enemy.

I suggested that the pilot has to arm the minigun's like in reallife through pressing "R" that would solve the problem.

Pilots of basically all aircraft use relatively well insulated headphones and mics. Even civilian aviators do it. So....yes, muffling would be good. Getting rid of them entirely would be best.

Problem with that is that you couldnt fit a whole squad in the chopper if the pilot is in a separated pilot squad.
