Which is why I want a helo because they are infinitly more fun to fly over an airplane.

Like this here:

(biped put in for general size comparison, shoddy 1 hour work of an amazing number of primitives, lol)

'[R-PUB wrote:BrokenArrow']Juro: the scan is already removed and the devs have said they are looking at different ideas as far as the UAV goes and I don't think anyone has said that the Kiowa will work in the same way as the UAV or the scan. I'm sure it's all well under control. :)
Fair enough, looking forward 8-) Could somebody please explain how the Kiowa cameras will be integrated? How will it affect the game?

I think it should be of no use against infantry. I think there should be a pilot who has also control over the AT missles. There also should be a co-pilot, who would have control over the cameras - but how will this be integrated? Would he be a terget locker? Or would he be a spotter? Or would he be a UAV of some sort? How would he see through that?

I think he should be the UAV of some sort, but I'm for whatever PR decides. Could some dev please, if possible, comment on my questions above?

the tacticle usage is more spotter/forward observer(for the jets/choppers)role but they have up to 907kg's (2,000lb) of ordinace/weapon pods more for their own defence but they are more comonly being used as gunships nowadays seeing as the kiowa is actually unarmed and they have mostly been upgraded to warriors i.e they are armed.

Yea ok, but how will they be used? I mean u have them, click LMB and then u see what? What does it provide for your team? Same question goes for the Kiowa cameras.

The idea is to make things easier for you to spot out the enemy for the rest of your team with binoculars. As for the Kiowa it's still too early to say exactly.

EDIT - Dawdler, did you model that little chopper? It looks quite good.

I thought that was obvious ;)
But I had near zero references, just a bunch of low res distance photos. That's why alot of it is crude primitives, I didnt know how the engine looked for example. I did a much better work on a Sopwith Camel a while ago, or a VBL jeep. Thought I cant texture so it never looks good, bleh.

Anyway, the Kiowa is good but I dont like the prospect of it carrying weapons (could always have that variant anyway). A UAV in any shape should be a special purpose machine... There will be enough firepower on the battlefield anyway.
