Fort Sill sucked, Artillery Sucked. I have nothing against artillerymen, but I rather see what I'm shooting at than just pull a string and wait for a BDA. The area surrounding Sill wasn't bad in the summer, but winters got windy and cold due to wind chill. Fall had tornados, spring had bad pollen, summer was hot (which I enjoy). Lawton wasn't a bad town, expected rednecks with belt buckles the size of trashcan lids. Ended up feeling like I was back home in Los Angeles. If you go, try not to stay more than 2 weeks. After that, the place looks and feels more like a sewer.
Using proper team movement helps, even in PR. If you have a good team that uses strong communications then you can accomplish almost any mission. It also prevents fewer TK's. Just make sure the guys on your team aren't jackasses like the numbnut I was paired up with.
