The problem is xFire doesn't care about the executable arguments, it only cares about the final portion of the executable path. PR will look like vBF2 to xFire becaues it is still essentially "bf2.exe" being executed.

I wouldnt use the words "dont cares" but yes, why BF2 SF is not in the "Games list" as xfire cant tell the diffrence between it and normal BF2, same goes for any other mod thou it might be able to tell FH2 since it loads though its own .exe thou would have to ask them.

If it loads its own exe them I'm pretty sure it could tell the difference as the process path would be different then.

Yes, this was indeed the reason we bundled XFire with 0.7.

A few things you might like to know:

- It will take place on XFire - so you need to have it to be able to take part.
- It will be a Q+A format, you ask the questions, we answer a selection of them. An interview of sorts, if you like.
- If you want to attend you need to sign up here.
- Numbers are limited. A set number of people (c. 100) will be picked at random from those that signed up and notified by email roughly 48 hours before.
- If you miss out, don't despair - a full transcript of the chat will be available after the event.

Give me a reason to participate when I could ask any question and get a better answer here on the forums? :p
