Please none of this, "but those are too expensive for the militia they are supposed to be poor", umm no the militia deal arms to every army except maybe the Salvation Army.
agreed :]

Cammon guys, Millitia guns are WAY cooler than the Brits, EASILY!.
Being cool doesn't help you kill people. But it's always good to do it in STYLE!
We should make it that Millitia can get more of the limited kits because of their buying power -aka- regular armies are designated arms, Millitia just buy a hundred create loads of the stuff.
Anyhow, most militia are not super rich, they're just ex-military with access to a combination of civilian and military weapons. Think of the Afghani mujahideen and Chechnyan insurgents, who were relatively well armed by foreign powers, but not to the point of outclassing modernized armies. They won't be limited to stock weapons, but they're not all sporting brand new sniper rifles.

Lord of war. good movie

I think in Pr the milita are more less sophisticated smugglers than dealers like Orlov.

Actually, it just so happens that the militia in the two militia maps are arms dealers. The faction is supposed to be generic loadouts.

EG i am against you on this one. I strongly belive the milita should be a scope less faction. But, I do agree that the officer kit should recive one.

So I guess when they relise they are under attack, they just crowbar accouple of crates/ boxes/ containers and start handing out guns.

AND if you were arms dealers, you'd have a nice big stock of weapons which would be guarded by a small private army.

SO, puting the above two ideas into one, on the defence millitia should have MORE (of some) kit loadouts but on the attack they should have the same (if they ever do attack)

Yeah, in retrospect it sounded like I was whining about the lack of scope. I too think the Militia should be one for loosing out at the midrange combat. I still think the Scout should get something for his SKS, though.

I play Militia a lot and pride myself in overcoming the scoped enemy with my iron sights.

Remember, as Militia, firefights have to be over before they started. If you sit there trading shots in the open, you're supposed to lose. Shoot and scoot and you'll be fine.

A scope for the SL is fine but dont overdo it, militia are fine on mestia they have an advandage since they are defending at the start and fools road they have armor and spandrelss aswel as anti-tank guns to counter the brits.

This largely depends on which countries are backing them, as our militia appear to be former soviets, I would agree they won't be sporting brand new sniper rifles. But many of the middle eastern militia and insurgents who are receiving outside backing have some of the finest weapons on offer on the open market, namely Steyr Mannlicher weapons.

Well scopes are pritty cheap and easy and are the norm for 21century wars.

any way scopes will even things out and make things interesting and make the rebels less of a push over.

Heh, yeah.

Scope for the SKS would balance things nicely, that iron sight is so hard to use, can't hit owt with it as much as I love it in close/closish combat.

I think that's about all the militia need at the moment, they seem to hold their own quite easily now.

Source? And are we talking bolt action rifles (easy to believe) or AUGs (hard to believe)?

Initial reports only highlight Iraqi insurgents having them, but with open knowledge that someone in Iran is backing extremists in several countries, it's not a huge leap of faith to believe they are supplying similiar advanced weaponry to the others too.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jh ... iran13.xml

There is also this that mentions they found Chinese weapons and explosives too.

The Arsenal of the Iraq Insurgency

Lots of stuff like this has been in the news since the conflict started.

21st century only just started!!!!

some more scopes would be good,

but then again on mestia the rolling terrain and defence oriented objectives cater to the rebel arsenal.

I would also like to ask why we have a special operations kit? I figured it was just to keep the Bizon in rotation. It's one thing to have an organized quartermaster system, but a special operative? Perhaps we should bring back the "mercenary" kit?

Special Operations is just a name. It doesn't mean that militia have something like special forces ;)
