to be honest: that MBT LAW and the SRAW pretty much look the same (green tube with black "tires" at each end). IMO it is just a question of adapting the in game characteristics, and worry about the models later (they really look similar).

Well the SRAW and MBT LAW were slated to replace the AT-4 or "ILAW" if you are British so they really never fit the role of HAT in the first place. Now that I find out that the SRAW was canceled, it seems now that there isn't anything realistic left with the current AT system.

To be honest, if you incorporate the AT as it is currently seen in modern western militarizes, enemy armor would be at an EXTREME disadvantage, unless the quantity of AT weapons is reduced dramatically, but from what I understand, weapons like the MBT LAW would be at the squad level and weapons like the Javelin at the platoon level, meaning that armor would be engaging guided anti-tank weapons every time it encountered a squad.

I suppose I started out looking at this the wrong way, before we introduce newer AT weapons, we need to figure out a way to incorporate what we currently have realistically without breaking the game.

(Unless the T-90s get a "Shtora" simulator, which would be nothing more than flares to break the lock of a Javelin, can't really speak for the Type 98s though.)

The US uses a system similar to the Shtora, but I don't see it in game either. I think that adding such devices might start to unbalance things.

I still have some documentation on my hard drive regarding the AN/VLQ-6/8 if anyone wants to know more about it (diagrams, function, etc), but it would be for reference only as I seriously don't see it being added to PR. If someone wants to PM me with interest in it, I can post the data on the Military Tech section.

It be nice to see the Javelin added at some point, but only if it could be done without creating a huge imbalance or a buggy device.
