'[=TC= wrote:nuetron;589352']i didnt request the Raptor, since i figured it had already been suggested. I also thought that the Raptor had been considered but as usual, the fair thing over rules the semi-fair but realistic thing.
also, the number of aircraft doesnt matter, or the A-10 wouldnt be in-game since its production stopped ages ago, its becoming out-dated by new technologies, and half the A-10s sit in a scrap yard and are being used for parts for the already breaking down A-10s that are remaining.
bbbbbbbbbyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...........
don't let the door hit ya on the way out
And many many lols at the part about a-10's being outdated and phased out. Obviously never gotten to see one in action. a10 isn't going anywhere for a long long time, I don't care what paper pushers say.

another guy speaking out of his ***, all A10s are currently undergoing a $420 million dollar upgrade program and because of the impeccable successes of the A10 thunderbolt in both gulf wars, the aircraft is set to continue operations well into 2028 and beyond.
do some research next time please

It's not that it wouldn't be fair, it's because it requires additional work for something that doesn't add anything to gameplay nor does it increase realism; it would be cosmetic.

That's just it. There, plain and simple. The F-22 could, can, and in the eyes of some people, should be implemented into the game. This is the DEVs'reason for not putting it in, and I have to say, I agree with it being practical. Many PR players would enjoy other additions to the game more than simply another Fighter Jet that wouldn't be much different gameplay to the F-16/MiG right now.

ok, THANK YOU! thats all i needed to hear, i thought it was because you guys thought it was going to "uneven the battlefield" and waaa waaa waaa its not fair, now that i see it yor way i see it the DEV way, ALOT more work that doesnt make the game anymore fun then it already is.
symplify i like your Typhoon in your signature, wish that was ingame(the 6 LGBs)
and the F-14 is way old, the DEVs already said no, you heard about wasteland talking about how i suggested alot of aircraft... that was when i joined up and i had alot of ideas that i thoughtt would make this mod way more fun.........but also back then i thought it was like a room of guys(and some girls) dedicated to this game......now i know its a buncha hard working gamers that get as much done whenever they can.
also, the A-10 i never heard it was due to be decomissioned in 2028, before i heard 2014 r something.

I'm not sure if I'm right, but the 2014 plan was scrapped when the decision was made to upgrade them. The A-10 is extremely old technology, and that is what makes it so good at what it does.

Yup, the A-10 fleet is sitting in scrapyards.
That's precisely why three days ago, Boeing were awarded a $15mn contract to provide services and modelling for the A-10 Wing Replacement Programme - a $2bn programme launched LAST year to provide 242 new pairs of wings for USAF A-10s.
Linky:
Boeing: Boeing Awarded $14.9 Million A-10 Wing Modeling Contract
Course, I'd spend 2.15 billion dollars on a plane that *I* was planning to break down and scrap, too.
