After using the training mode to learn to fly, I wanted to practice getting shot at whilst in the air. SP did the job... kinda.

I find it very useful for trying out things,like helicopter flying.It's also great for a quick game rather then 2-3 hours fighting.

Never tried, playing against bf2 bots never interested me. Playing PR for teamplay.

You guys looking for training, go on training server running training mini-mod.

Well if it was co-op capable so me and a buddy could just fly around drunk in a chopper shooting at bots, I would play it a lot.

You can play co-op on it. For testing several of us do on a regular basis.

Use Hamachi to create a virtual network, one player hosts and the other connects using hamachi via the Multiplayer screen on the SP mod. For comms Skype is very good and free!!

If you download SP and then get the bf2 bot changer (free, really small download), you can set the number of bots and change their 'skills'.

Set to 9 or 10 for the skills, and the bots seem better than human players. If you don't figure out good spots to be in each situation, you'll receive an abnormal number of headshots. It really helps to develop a good sense of how to position yourself in a fight. Good fun can be had playing Ejod 16 with 29 bots set on difficulty 9.

It's good for people with slow internet conections. SP also allows you to screw around with stuff that you can't or wouldn't do normally. It's the only time I've really used the sniper rifle too.

Sp gave me a chance to try the weapons and equipment before going Mp.

That said I still fire it up every now and again with botchanger if servers are quiet or I have a urge to SL (never in mp *shudders*).

Yes, that's true, they're quite deadly when it comes to firefight... but they still do some stupid things

yea try what strima said, it works great for us and i can tell you it's good fun!

i would play sp but i dont want to mess around with the files or else i think i might brake it, it would be awesome if the sp came with PR like it used to.

You don't have to mess with the files. The installer will create its own folder so if it does create problems you can still play MP.

I couldnt get sp to work when i tried one time, problems with init.con I think


The co-op thing is something you can get with vanilla bf2, I expect its possible with pr (if the devs wanted it that way) but it would not be sp then!

PRSP is awesome! Fighting against bots is fun.

Well theres been over 2,500 downloads of PRSP so far.... so I guess a lot of those peeps dont read or post in this forum!
Also out of those 2,500 only a handfull of peeps have had probs and that is always a user fault of some sort.
I would say it's quite popular.

I didnt even know there is a SP for PR until I saw this thread. I DLed and installed it(voted "Never played it").
Well if you just want to shoot stuff, and play rambo, it is not bad.

There are a few issues (not many though), old and new maps also. Unfortunately it is impossible to make a half-decent AI, the sqauds dont even have rally points, sometimes they stuck and/or do nothing, but the SP mod is absolutely perfect for training purposes to new members.

All in all, it is entertaining, so, good job!

I play it a bit here and there but it's mostly to practice my aim incase I feel I'm getting rusty. I would play it more if the BF2 bots weren't pants on head retarded.
