How can people actually be considering this?

really there is no reason to have fuel, the maps are too small, also who here has survived a whole round in a tank, i am guessing none or very little, so if this was put it only 10 people would ever see the effects of fuel.

Like others have been saying, the maps are simply too small and the rounds too short for any modern military vehicle to need refueling halfway through. Even my ATV could do a few laps around our maps without needing extra gas.

As recently as yesterday i survived 2 hrs 30 min on kashan hovering for most of the time that requires refueling but thinking about the amount of times i went back to base for ammo anyways it makes it unnecessary.
Would be a nice thing if the commander had to place a fuel depot before any of the vehicles could drive. This would also make a prime strategic target and give some very needed "supply-line cutting"

You're in store for a treat then in v0.8. The supply-line, not the fuel depot.

I dont really like the idea...
It would seriously suck to be an infantry guy on lets say kasahn, way out in the desert, your squad comes in a HMVVE to pick you up, they get you, you drive 20 meters or so, and then on voip your "uh guys....we're out of gas..."
or to be a pilot and run out of fuel while returning to base, there goes an asset because you were to busy killing enemy tanks and didnt notice your fuel

a round of PR doesnt last long enough for any vehichle to need a refuel. ALL of these vehichles in PR can probably last atleast a day without refueling, and even then military vehichles carry auxiliary fuel jerrys. they have more than enough fuel to maintain operational for days, let alone a 1-3 hour round in PR
