Bundeswehr is in progress. German faction would be posible.

The problem: Berlin would need LOTS of totaly new and probably even huge statics, even in BF2-size, which cant be simulated and done in BF2. Thats why i think villages would be better, and OPK has some village statics that would also fit in some eastern german towns. But then - when they are already soo deep in - what happened to Poland?

Some great ideas knocking around here... so why aren't you guys picking up the mapping tutorials and learning how to make your ideas come true?

I dont know how far in the future PR is exactly, but i always thought China would so far be the only big new thing, and the alliance of the MEC. Thought the new nato nations woulda join this conflict, and i even thought Russia to be in team 2 - but well, a timeline isnt a bad idea either.

USA vs MEC = 3rd World war
UK vs PLA = 3rd World war

That was what i was doing.

Because there are no buildings in the area i was mapping ( isolated area), the only statics i was using was ,military stuff; bunkers and trenches. I had all the new bunkers in defensive positions on a ridge/ mountain, connected by trenches.

But anyway, i haven't worked on it in ages.

I think recently Polish are allowing American to build a base there. There could be a start for some American/Polish Vs. Russians > and the German faction is being made

As i said, too many conflicts make those Insurgencty and Anti-Terrorists operations and stuff so useless... Well, i always imagined the BF2/PR conflict smaller sized.

Well, as i already said, the main problem are the statics.

Its funny how somebody mentioned a russia vs Poland map... utterly impossible! Im polish and ehhh.. what can i say, although we do have a bunch of commandoes as soldiers our army is not equipped with top notch stuff. i mean jeez we use russian attack helicopters still dont we? Buttttt we did just receive f16s.... still... but i wont lie, the option is hella interesting!

As soon as I'm done with my current project I'm planning on starting work on either a US or UK defensive (probably counterattack) map. I'm very interested in trying out a european town/village, so if some people with static making skills want to volunteer some workable statics, send me a PM. If not I'll work with what I've got.

Just stop right there buddy.... people have tried to make sense of the conflict depicted in PR for years... and we have all failed miserably. You just come to realize... that there is no story. It's WW3 without nukes. You got the fictional MEC going jihad all over the middle-east, the U.S and U.K making a suicidal campaign into China while fighting the MEC and various Insurgent and Rebel groups around all over Asia, and Russia is just f#ck everyone! Next thing you know, all we need is the GLA and the toxic general to make madness

Ontopic; a European map is not very realistic. Unless we can create a Serbian Army with the NATO-forces on the other side. Maybe an IRA (insurgents) vs. Brits urban map in Belfast. Those are all wars from the past and not nowadays as the DEV's want it i guess...

They will never build that (noone will allow) and the Russians will never attack an European country as their economy will become worse than it is! They simply dont have the money! The Russians didnt make any problems about the little 3. (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) The Russians already have enough problems inside their own country, why create more problems outside Russia??

I have only seen some serious civilian problems over Belarus thats all...but no war, just some get up, stand up for your rights versus dictatorship.

On the other hand of course i would love to see a Arnhem (http://www.hotels-holland.com/info/Arnh ... hem-07.jpg) or (http://www.georgefoto.nl/nederland/0000189188.jpg) in some kind to fight in PR...

No one knows what will happen in the near future, IMO every scenario is possible. All the fights in PR are fictional, some factions are also fictional (MEC for example), so I can't see a reason why there would be no european maps for PR.

BTW.
There is a book called "RED STORM RISING" by Tom Clancy, it's about a conflict between Russia and NATO. Great book, consider reading it

Most of the battles are fictional i agree with you. But for China it is possible. As they will become country no.1 and the US doesnt want that and will do whatever it takes to prevent that. The MEC-army couldnt be created as they are all different countries with different ideas. Maybe in the future when all arabic countries have enough of Israel they will create a MEC to defeat Israel, but the US will never allow that. (=WW3) But i cant really expect an European map as the Russians are way to poor to attack any east-european country. They aren't the big multinational from the cold war anymore! Maybe in the future with some help of China they might be able...

And i definately want to see St. Petersburg someday, so dont destroy that beautiful city!!!
