i really feel that making one weapon suck just cus it is better is just plain dumb. every gun should be made like real life and then the maps, and other things should balance it out, not nerfing a weapon so bad it isnt even used.

To stop infantry sniping, maybe its possible to disable the weapon unless enemy armor is in your view within the reticle?

H-AT sniping isn't dead, one can sit in a nice position around a house corner or somewhere in the woods and pick troops passing by - it is not that difficult. If there is no armor around to kill, I often hunt infantry down. Form my point of view it is not possible to exclude H-AT sniping form the game - sure it is now way harder but... What the new system really messed up is the purposed usage of this AT-weapon. It is almost impossible to destroy a tank with the H-AT maybe you can land one hit and then the tank is gone and I can't manage to follow the target with the fired shell. Keep everything like it is, but increase the damage made by the H-AT shell and maybe it is possible to improve the guiding system. I noticed that it is common that one can't even destroy a truck with one shot, when you land the hit right at the front side of it. To be honest I like that it is now way harder to hunt down APC's with the H-AT, even if my rate of swearing increased in the same way. Just make the H-AT more powerful.

I do find it a tad irritating to sit, wait on those wonderful little arrows that must line up lest my rocket fire at a 60 degree angle from my shoulder, only to have the tank get a lock warning before my AT is even ready to fire modestly accurately yet, and then run away. Then, if I am still able to see the tank, I move to look at it, and BAM, the rocket will now fire at a 45 degree angle instead of straight, because I'm a soldier, and I did not undergo training to at least be able to turn without flailing my arm and gun around.

CAS, I think what you said here is the way to go("You want to fix HAT sniping? Make this missile passively homing like a Stinger, then add deviation, or even a gravity modifier. Flies straight when locked on and misses at 20 feet when used against infantry. There you have it, a realistic, and vehicle-only rocket launcher. Could even leave the lock sound as at least then its no longer command guided.") That would solve allt he problems, except no tone until target is actually locked. If missle is just fired randomly, then it should blow up in your face. NO MORE HAT SNIPERS. They would all be dead and their true skills would show up in their K/D ratio.

PS. If this is the same CAS I have played with a few times you should really stop trying to act so much smarter than everyone and try to have fun. You come across as a prick LOL. It is just a game. If this isnt the same CAS, then never mind. :lol:

To reiterate what I said:
I will agree that there is no compelling reason to have the lock on tone. HAT is pretty ineffective as well, I have yet to see any HAT gunner actually kill a tank. TBH it's kinda annoying to be able to pull a perfect ambush on a CR2 with the eryx and be totally unable to kill it.
As you said CAS, the lock tone is unrealistic.

You're right. My parents beat me as a child and I have trouble coping. I sometimes take it out on other people. I'm sorry.

any chance of getting this back on target and also what devs think.

Do they think the lock tone is relistic, do they like the way HAT is?

also is it just me or is the damage these things do been really reduced.

same for c4 just doesnt seem to pack the punch it used to, did not even make a APC smoke when i set on of these off on its back door.
