Its a shame but back to vBF2 for me where I am jet whoring royalty.
This mod is for mature players. If you decided to go back to BF2 than it means....
...figure it out by yourself what it means

yeah...I think I will take your advice.....
Tried it again.....Road to Quiling map......got welcomed into the squad by VoIP.....chap asked me wot I was good at...told him never played before.....someone else told me to bugger off and read manual then.
I then started asking for instructions......I got advised not to ask questions, just 'ACT'.
Taking the squad member up on his advice....I decided to spawn at the spawn point I was advised to spawn at...(with white triangle above it). However.....I never spawned there......I spawned at British Air Base instead miles away where I spawned out side very big long barricade with insurmountable barbed wire running along the top of it. after a good 2 minutes it took to run around into the compound where all vehicles and choppers where. I got popped from an enemy hanging around. Same thing happened a 2nd time.....and a 3rd. On my 4th spawn....(after a lengthy wait) I spawned from the air but my BF2 designated parachute button did not work......I died a terible terrible death.

You shouldn't spawn on other squad's rally points, should read the manual.

10 hours to get comfortable with a game is not asking much, bud.
Especially when you spread that out over 4 nights or so.
Just find a nicer squad, there are plenty out there.
Hope you dont leave just yet...

Games are either really good or really bad. It's all about being in a good squad and having at least one other decent squad on your team, as well as a commander of course. I am still amazed how many people play badly. OGT the other day I took both bridge bunkers with almost no resistance on a full server with 3 men total. It blew my mind, everyone was off in a corner of the map "maneuvering".

Just a few hints.
Just BREIFLY take a look at the manual, its not hard.
Join the "Tactics and Teamwork" server, and join a TACTEAM squad, their squadeaders WILL assist you.
And life isn't just jet whoring
Sarge.

The only disadvantage to the PR community is a certain sense of elitism,
If a guy joins my squad who is inexperienced, I don't expect him to have memorised the manual. I tell him to stick close to me and do what I do until he has a good idea about what PR is about.
Be nice to n00bies guys! they are ppl 2...usually
And I fully endorse what the tacteam guys said to ya, they are swell chaps.

I'm not sure how many people reading this thread have been playing with me recently and on my team when I announce predictions about bases that will fall or will be capturable if we move fast to them. But if any are, they might remember those timely messages as I can predict within about 3 minutes what is going to happen. Doing a Nichola Cage on this one lads.
PR is not PvsP, it's so much more than that

There is a lot of elitism, but unless you do something to mess up your team no one will single you out. (ex. taking a helicopter, typing "i can flyz!!1!" and running into a jet on the runway)
