What are your shooting tactics with the assault rifle at medium range?

I take single-shots, taking the time to re-aim between each one.

I shoot in aimed bursts/full auto, and hope that at least one of the bullets will make a hit.

Ok aiming in single is the way to go. But dont "re-aim", you need to aim the gun and keep it where you want to hit him while fireing every 2 seconds. Your will be guarenteed to hit.

I do single shot on the M16, but if I go into a house I'll switch to burst. Same with M4, although, I'll always have automatic for the AKs, since I try to make it close combat and i just roughly aim and just sprey half the clip, usually gets me a kill or 2, medium or long engagements is usually poor for the AK. I try to move in close quarters with the AK, trying to not have to engage at long distances where I don't stand a chance.
